I'm wanting to update my review on this school. Despite my earlier review, I gave this school another chance and I'm really glad I did. I've been a student here since August of 2017 and I'm so glad I came here. My instructors are amazing, patient, and experienced stylists that want us to succeed. This is a small school, so I am able to get the extra attention I need if I'm struggling with something which is something I did not get at my previous beauty school. This location offers cosmetology and esthetics classes. We get to work on real clients, not just mannequin heads, after just 8 weeks of basics class which is really good because working on people is much different than on a doll and this allows us to gain the experience we need to not only be state board ready, but ready to go to work right away once we earn our 1500 hours. The owners Jeff and Angela are awesome and very knowledgeable. I definitely am glad I am getting my training here.

I absolutely love getting my hair done at this school. The instructors make sure the students know exactly what they're doing. I have only had one small issue and they fixed it right away. Kelly is one of the instructors and she makes sure everything is done right. The price is  right, but they are not quick, so if you are in a hurry, forget about it.  I will keep going back.

Okay, it's a school and they are students, I know. My expectations certainly weren't outrageous. The young lady that cut my hair was very friendly. She didn't appear at all nervous, even when she skinned a place on the side of my head. She was using a 1.5 guide, so not too noticeable. The facial felt great (so good I dozed off for a few minutes). The prices were great, and the menu of services was extensive. I wouldn't go back to Tulsa for a haircut here or anywhere, but I'd sure consider them if I happen to be back in town.

Cosmetology Education Center is the BEST School in the area. They really prepare you for state boards; as well as, prepare you for the workplace. This school really gives you a wonderful foundation to build upon, all while using the latest and greatest equipment and products from all the top brands. They have very helpful and knowledgeable teachers, as well as management! They all really make you feel like part of a team.
I initially graduated the Esthetics program at CEC and am a Licensed Esthetician. I chose this school over other area schools because of the great value this school is over other schools and because they have the highest percentages of students passing state boards and gaining employment. That to me spelled out BEST EDUCATION. I love being an Esthetician, but felt like I really wanted to further my education by getting my Cosmetology License. I returned to CEC and am loving everything about my experience there! Not only do you learn all the basics, you build upon that basic skill level learning the latest on trend hair design and more...! I would recommend this school to anyone wanting the best school in the area!!

DO NOT ATTEND THIS SCHOOL! If you are seeking current, thorough education, pay the extra money for Clary Sage. You really do get what you pay for and since BA Beauty School is half the price, you'll get half the education (if you're lucky). I'm attending for esthetics and they let the class grow to 7 students. We are here 35 hours every week and sometimes go the whole week without a single appointment. Our textbook is 11 years old and the videos we watch are even older. Esthetics is a rapidly growing, changing field and this school teaches in the Stone Age. We only learn the very basics and we're not allowed to practice on each other without paying for a student service.

This is the biggest waste of money I have EVER spent!
All I'm getting for $6000 is a piece of paper saying I took the class.
