I bought a gift certificate for a friend of mine for Christmas. The sales attendant was extremely kind and helpful. I would recommend this establishment to anyone who is seeking preferred treatment.

We love BJ's!! Always a great experience at both Springfield locations. Staff is very professional and stylists/nails/esthetics are prompt and attentive. I always walk out feeling better!

I have NEVER written a negative review in my life but my experience BJs Salon with my teenage daughter was so un-fair and wrong I feel the need to share it. This business is way to expensive, there are much cheaper and better quality salons to go to in Springfield. DO NOT buy the hype. They rip their customers off, especially the most vulnerable senior citizens. The min you walk through the doors you might as well burn a few hundred dollars. Our experience was very negative and we ended up losing over $300 my teenage daughter had saved by babysitting. She has frizzy hair and paid for what they told her was a straightening procedure. It did not work, it was not left in for the required time and my daughter left the salon (losing $300) of her own money with no change to her hair. Initially, it was late and we left, I tipped. I was too shy to point it out. The next day my daughter expressed her sadness over "wasting all her money." For the 1st time in my life I contacted a business to complain. I shy away from that. However, this was my awkward, acne prown teenage daughter's money so we went in and talked to the manager. They clearly saw her hair was curly, frizzy and the 300$ straightening TX did not work. Yet, they made us come in again (during a very busy school week) so "test" her hair. They saw it in its true state (frizzy, waves) and said that they needed to wash it to prove the TX had taken. Basically they scammed us. The stylist washed her hair, put in a temporary straighting product, blow dried it, and then said that this TX doesnt make your hair more straight, she needs to blow dry it (bf they said it would be straight air dried) and now they said that it needed $50 heat protectant and she has to blowdry it. My daughter is devasted. Out $300 of babysitting money and the staff was out right rude. $300 is nothing for a large corporation like BJS but a lot to a 15 year old girl. They were very rude and we were nothing but polite. We left quietly despite her hair still looking the same. I did not purchase their $50 product and hope to reimbuse my daughter soon. We lost money and I didn't fight it bc I didn't want to cause a scene. They were wrong though. The BJS on 6th street is terrible, and they truly don't care about retaining customers. I've probably spent 1,000$ on hair highlights, cuts, products over the years but after seeing them rip off a kid? Who they also charged $70 for a straight haircut you could get for $PL12 at Sports Clips. NO morals, no class, no ethics. PLEASE tell others their are better options such as: Trends Terra Bella Mekei The moment you walk in the door you are ripped off. Never will I do business with them. Deplorable. I hope that stylist enjoyed that $300 she scammed from a kid. (Due to it being a minor I can not attach pictures)

Appt scheduled for 7/18 was cancelled BY BJG. Rescheduled for the following Friday when i had a work emergency so I cancelled and got charged $50 for cancelling. When I called they said "you've cancelled 3 times". First time i paid the $50 charge because it was my fault. 2nd time a tornado struck the area and we were all without power. Not my fault. 3rd time should have been a wash since they cancelled on me and had to reschedule. Wouldn't even consider the circumstances. Willow and Birch here I come.

This place deserves a zero star rating. Staff did not listen. I showed pictures of what I wanted. Staff said it could be done. Initially it looked nice and then was told to come back for toner. Toner was put on and my hair had a green look to it and was a blended color of browns, sure as hell a far cry from blonde. Would not recommend this salon at all.
