It's small enough to be easy to browse, but doesn't lack any of the things expected of a place like it. It has something some other places don't though: it's locally owned and operated.
I was expecting a warehouse-like atmosphere, but was actually somewhat surprised by the down-to-earth setting. There were several customers in the store, and that gave me a chance as I explored, to watch the interactions. Despite the hundreds of different products, the person working was able to help one person looking for a specific brand where she couldn't remember the name, but knew that it was made by a certain company and once she was told the label had been updated, was satisfied that what she had been handed, was what she had been seeking.
The wig selection here was the surprise. While there were the usual, Big Sky also had a few samples in atypical colors. They can not only fit a wig for you, they will style and color it as well.
There's a good selection of nail polish, tools, and the like to ensure someone walks out with a head to toe look. If it's not here, it can be ordered. If supporting local is a necessity, then Big Sky Beauty Supply should be on the list.
Big Sky Beauty Supply is a great salon/beauty supply store. They have a great selection of nail polishes (China Blaze, OPI, etc.), including specialty nail polish collections. The staff is helpful and friendly.
I've been a customer since they opened back in the 80's. They have GREAT customer service and help you with anything you need. Over the years, I've noticed a definite decrease in the products they offer, but they are still a great company. Good prices too!
