Beyond Blessed Salon and Boutique in New Braunfels, TX

I was in a pinch before family pictures so decided to bring my 5 year old here for a haircut. We had come a couple years ago and the haircut cost about $35, which I figured was okay, especially if it was a great cut for our pictures! When we walked in the woman at the front (seemed like a manager maybe?) was cold and unfriendly and I immediately got an unwelcome vibe from her, which made the waiting time at the front pretty uncomfortable. Thankfully once we were able to sit in the chair, the stylist was very sweet and engaging. The haircut wasn't the best, but it was fine enough so when we went to check out and the front desk woman (same woman as before) told me it would be $70, I about fell over. I asked her about the pricing and said I only had paid $35 last time and she coldly replied, "Ya, well once they hit 5 years old it goes up to this price." Now how is it possible that the price doubles once they hit 5, not to mention a toddler is squirmy and moving all around, whereas the stylist kept making comments the entire time how amazing my 5 year old was doing and how still he was the entire time?! Interestingly enough, I heard the stylist and woman talking as I was walking up and it sounded like the stylist was telling the front desk woman/manager that she didn't need to charge as much, but then just said, "Okay, well whatever you think" and walked away. From what it looked like, the stylist was even saying that it was too much for this haircut and the woman ignored her and decided to just squeeze out as much money out as possible (not smart, this is how you lose customers). The rest of the exchange with the front desk woman was so unfriendly and uncomfortable and I honestly couldn't wait to get out of there. So for an insanely priced $80 (with tip), we got a mediocre haircut that we ended up having to have fixed and and super uncomfortable experience from the staff. The shining light was how sweet the stylist was, but I would absolutely never recommend anyone come back here, for a kids cut or honestly probably anything else from a business that clearly feels okay about price gouging it's young families. P.S. I called a couple amazing stylist friends afterwards to see if I was off base about the pricing and they were super shocked at how much the price was as well! And then one of them came over to check out the haircut and ended up offering to fix it to make it look better (if that tells you anything about the quality of the haircut in the first place).....

If you are looking for a great salon and staff I highly suggest Beyond Blessed! If I could leave 10 stars I would! The owner and staff truly care about the client and the service is first class. I have been a client for over a year with Kaitlyn, her coloring technique is amazing! I had the opportunity to interact with DeAnn, little did I know she is one of the owners, so humble and folks no kidding she is the real deal! DeAnn is the role model of true customer service and satisfaction! I'm beyond blessed that I have found such a great salon and love how amazing I feel when I leave! If you are searching for a salon that does professional service and let's not forget they have a cute boutique store as well onsite so you can do some shopping or pick up a gift for someone...this is it! Thanks Kaitlyn and DeAnn and to all the ladies there who are always so welcoming and go above and beyond to ensure your clients look and feel amazing!

The atmosphere in this salon is fun and upbeat! Everyone is friendly and helpful. The boutique side of the salon is full of cute, current styles. Dee is so knowledgeable! She listens to your wants and gives her honest opinion (when asked). I absolutely LOVE my new cut and color!!! Thank you Dee!!!

This salon is just the best!! From the time you open the door, you know you've entered into something different, something very special, fun and exciting. Not just a salon but the sassiest little boutique as well. Packed with the latest trends, covering your night out, day out, day in needs! The fun does not stop there!! You came to get your hair done right? Morgan has become my stylist (they are all awesome) I went with Morgan after finding her on Instagram and seeing that she's a blonde whisperer! She greeted me and asked great questions about what I was looking to accomplish, gave me a chance to show her pictures of what I was looking for and made it a point to hear what I did not want. She talked me through threw what the service would entail, I agreed and then ... SHE NAILED IT!! I've been back four times and leave feeling extra super beautiful and happy! I'd like to also say that the owners Dee Dee and Saryn are so great to talk too, everyone in the shop is. Great job on reaching your dreams ladies!! Morgan, I love ya girl!

Love this place and Mary Jane is the best! She always listens and cuts and colors my hair exactly like I asked. And the best part...she does 100% of the work. Not some trainee as I was experiencing at my last 3 salons.
