Many beauty salons experience peak traffic on weekends, especially on Saturday mornings and afternoons. Weekday evenings can also be particularly busy as clients tend to schedule post-work appointments. Booking in advance is always advised, but if you're seeking a less bustling environment, you can inquire with Benefit Cosmetics BrowBar about their quieter hours.
I went there back in February to get my makeup done and hair styled for a Mardi Gras ball, bad idea.. the hair wasn't the issue and my stylist was very nice but did not do a good job on makeup. I showed her inspiration pictures for the makeup, pictures of my sky blue dress, and informed her that I do not like the look of foundation on myself and I am a lip gloss over lip stick person. The only thing that was right is she didn't use foundation. My eyelash strips were put on so poorly you could see how uneven they were in every photo, she put a purple lip stick on me which would've gone horribly with my dress and lined my lips like a child tried to do it, so uneven. When I informed her that my lips were super uneven she proceeded to put a q-tip in front of me and tell me to "lick it" and proceeded to wipe my face with it, it is a beauty store, filled with probably 1,000 brands of makeup remover wipes and oils. It still didn't look good even after that so after my appointment I had to buy some wipes and gloss and proceeded to redo my lips, nothing I could do about my eyelashes. I don't like to leave negative reviews but I would not recommend this place for makeup.
I was in the store 07/12/2023 between 2:30 & 3:15 I was attempting to speak w/someone at the Salon. I was stunned as I was standing there listening to 2-women completely shred their co-worker to the point the co-worker VERY RIGHTFULLY became so upset he told the women has had enough of the mean girl act for the past several hours and walked out. The salon was full of clients and these women 1 named Sheila (I don't recommend her for hair services as I was in her chair for 7 hours 2-yrs ago because she destroyed my hair. I see another stylist now) and the other lady (I believe her name is Jamie) continued the conversation and and attempted to include the clients in the salon into the bashing. It was awkward and uncomfortable to say the least. These are grown women. Bullying is obviously a real issue at ULTA in Foley, Al. I already had my opinions of the management there Minnie to be specific but WOW class it up y'all. Be supportive of your peers and please don't try to involve the clients into your messy messy drama.
As a digital nomad, it can be a little stressful when it comes time to trust a stranger to color your hair. But, I've found consistency and peace of mind knowing I'm in good hands with stylist at Ulta. Staff are friendly, they keep my color formula on file.
Todd is excellent! Been going to Ulta for years never have I had service like that!
Kellie has done my hair since we've been here and she does a great job. She was very accommodating when I asked for her advice on certain products and even helped me find some facial products. She was fun to talk to and my hair looked great. I'll definitely be coming back to Ulta to have my hair done by Kellie the next time we're in the area.
