Benefit Cosmetics BrowBar in Beckley, WV

Completely awful customer service. After having to reschedule my appointment twice in one day a week ago because of Ulta staffing issues, a hairdresser called me at 2:30 pm the day of my 5:00 pm appointment and asked me to come in at 5:30 pm instead. I obliged.

I got to the salon counter at 5:18 pm after being dropped off by my husband. I expected I would have to wait, which was fine, but I, an eight month pregnant woman, was not offered a seat to wait in. I instead was told to look around the store while I waited. I again obliged.

At 5:30 pm, I walked back up to the counter and stood for five minutes before the hairdresser came to tell me that she would be another 15 minutes and asked if I would mind waiting. I cancelled my appointment.

You would think this was a NYC top tier salon for as hard it is to get an appointment. This is Beckley, WV. The total disregard for a client's time was insulting. I will never consider this salon again.

I was in town for a couple of spartan races and wanted to get my hair in tight braids that would hold for both races.

Basically, I waited last minute (we drove from Tampa) but Vanessa was able to get me in.

Even given my long hair, Vanessa did an AMAZING and fast job putting together two Dutch braids. My hair is the longest it's ever been and she has been the fastest at braiding it by far.

It held up through three nights of sleep and 22 miles of racing, including log and sandbag carries where the braids would get caught under them, two muddy dunk walls and a swim.

Was going to take them out before heading back to work but they still look great so I'm leaving them in an extra day!

I highly recommend Vanessa if you're looking to get your hair braided quickly in a way that will last!!

Theresa, my stylist, was amazing!!   I had to evacuate from S.C. because of the hurricane and she took me right in. She was so nice and helpful.  She took her time with me, helped me with my color and cut....and I absolutely love it.  I live six hours away but visit often.   I will definitely try to see her every time I come in or even possibly drive six hours!!  Well worth every penny!!

First of all, I tried to have my hair done here a week ago for Easter, but they couldn't fit me in because I was sooo last minute (completely understandable), but they tried so hard to be able to squeeze me in. They're all so sweet, polite, and dedicated! Flash forward a week and I got an appointment with Sheena. Best decision ever. She has an awesome personality, great advice, and she is skilled at what she does! I wish I could have left her a hundred dollar tip! When I got there they made sure I was comfortable and gave me a water. I got a full head of blonde highlights, toner, my hair cut and styled, and some sort of pH treatment thing that I think might have made my hair softer, but not sure I'll get again, just because of the price. I'll definitely keep going to Sheena though! She was so great!
