I saw Macecia May 19th to get a cut and halo highlights. I had a pic of the cut and color I wanted, she said she could do it. I told her I wanted it alway the to the scalp, thinned out and no blunt cutting, she said ok. When I pulled it back later it looked like I had two weeks of new growth after just paying $160, which included only one color. She had put a toner on it which made it really dark and nothing like the pic I showed her. She told me it would lighten over time, $160 is a lot of money to have to wait on to get the color I paid for. I messaged her a couple of days later telling her it looked like I had 2 weeks of new growth, she said come let her look at it, which I did yesterday. She said the reason she didn't get it close to the scalp was because she didn't want the ends to be to light, you know the way most are wearing it today. I hadn't had anything done to it in over a yr, because I just hadn't been happy with the services. I went to her shop over 2yrs ago and someone else did it, which I had to go back because it looked like I had 2 wks of new growth, but other than that the color was good. Macecia is the one that fixed it the and no problems and that's why I chose to go back to her. When I went back yesterday I asked her to take more bulk out and I didn't like the blunt cut across the back. She took the thinning shears to it, which was better, but still had the bulk and she took off at least another inch. My hair is straight and was way down past my bra strap practically one length, now it's at top of the shoulders. While we were talking she gave several excuses and reminded me I didn't want chunky and chunky would've been the only way to get the color I wanted, which is not true. As she was putting the foils in she said she was going to put a lightener on it after the foils, which didn't happen. When the girl was blow drying the front of my hair, she turned me away from the mirror. When she finished drying it I padded Macecia on the shoulder I was leaving, she never offered to look at it...I was in the chair next to her, so I'm sure see saw it and I'm sure she noticed it when she checked the foils. Later I pulled my hair back and it was ugly chunky brassy gold still with what looked like new growth over time. I was so upset I waited until today to message her to ask her for a refund. This is what she said, "I do not do refunds on color. There is a sign posted at the desk. Because the product has been used. When you left you told me it was fine. But didn't even give me a chance to look at it. I'd be happy to tone it so it's not so golden but I was hesitant to tone it with the comment you made about toners above." I patted her on the shoulder I was leaving, she never mentioned looking at it and apparently she knew it was bad because she mentioned putting another toner on it in her response, but didn't because of my above comment. I had told her after the first visit that I remembered why I hadn't had a toner since the 90's, because of the way it grabs ugly drab colors. I was there twice and never saw a the sign she mentioned. I told her I didn't trust her to come back I just wanted my money back, so I could go somewhere else to get her corrected and actual hairstyle. I am a single mom, so $160 is a lot, which I'm fine paying if I get what I pay for. When you pay that much everything you asked for should be done and you should not have to wait weeks on your color to lighten to get what you paid for. As far as the cut, it's the same as before she cut it except several inches shorter, same length all the way around, it's as boring as when I first went. I've attached pics from both visits and the pics I wanted it cut like and color. The first pic is the color(the lightest color), the second is the cut, the dark pics around the face was taken the I had it done the first time and brassy pics are from yesterday. I would not recommend Macecia, she is very nice, but she makes bogus excuses of why her work turned out bad, instead of owning her mistakes and instead of doing it right the first or even the second time she wants you to come back a 3rd time. If not discussed prior to doing hair, you shouldn't have to wait for weeks to get the color you paid for, you shouldn't have to keep going back for worse results and you should never pay any amount of money and look like you have 2 or 3 weeks of new growth when you leave the salon, I guess they do this so you come back sooner I don't know. I can't believe Macecia the owner of the shop with yrs of experience did this. If you don't want to refund color then you should just do it right. Obviously there's been a lot of people wanting refunds on color to put a sign up like that. I am very unsatisfied and would not recommend Macecia.

I have been going to Bella Mi for about 6 years now, to have my hair done. Everyone in the shop is so nice, polite and helpful. My hair always turns out amazing! Macecia is a miracle worker when it comes to hair! I wouldn't think of going anywhere else! The best of the best!

Every time I have visited this salon, I am greeted with happy, smiling faces. The staff at Bella Mi are courteous and professional. The only complaint I have is that it is too far from my residence but I will still continue going there.
