Bella Hair in Fredericksburg, VA

First time I've been to a salon in almost a decade. After many months of consideration I planned to get a really drastic haircut. Hannah was super nice and did an amazing job. Fr my self confidence is so high because my hair is so fancy. I was so afraid I'd regret cutting so much off, but she did such a good job. The place was clean and it smelled nice. And the lady at the desk was nice too.

I am a decades long client and have enjoyed every aspect, especially customer service. The stylist and staff are always Professional, Courteous and Snazzy! The owner (s) seem to always be within ear shot and I have enjoyed watching Bella Hair evolve forward and with Class* I highly recommend that you Relax here.

I had high hopes but my expectations were too high I suppose? I got no greeting from the Stylists or the reception upon walking in. Ok, maybe I'm a sneaky ninja and no one saw or heard me come in? I still wasn't sure who was booked to give me a cut, and upon telling the receptionist my appointment time (I arrived 10 minutes early for a 6:30 appointment) I still was unclear. Now is the time I tell you this would have been my first hair cut in over 3 years. My previous stylist moved away, so I went on a hair growth journey. Tonight would have been a big chop, and loads of fun for someone who is passionate about what they do. Now that's out of the way, I showed myself to the seating area. I was not offered a drink initially, but at 6:35 the receptionists stood up to tell me the stylist would be done in 10 minutes. She was the last one on the floor. Mind you, they close at 7:30. This is when she offered a drink. At this point my excited nerves turned to fearful nerves. I did not want to be rushed through as all the work I've put into my hair has been time consuming, I thought this was one of the best paces in town and I came for the full salon experience. For $50 plus tip I realized that it would not be worth it to stay and risk getting my hair cut by someone who regularly stopped to speak with their hands. It took a lot for me to not cry as I walked out. It was 6:45 and the previous client was still in the chair. I will recommend people avoid this place. I live and work downtown. Upon further research I noticed this place hasn't updated their website or Instagram in almost a year. Don't be a new client here.

Hannah is great, so i don't want my review to reflect on her abilities. What I'm complaining about is the receptionist who looked like she just got out of bed, didn't tell Hannah i was here and basically did nothing. Then one of the stylists with hair fried to a white blonde and smoking out front of the store, then talking so loud so everyone can hear her and then you hear her talk down to her clients. You come to relax, not walk through a cloud of smoke, wait while the receptionist drinks her coffee, and listen to another stylist talk so loud you cant hear your stylist. Tell her to smoke some place else so we don't have to walk through it.

I have been using Carrie B. as my hairdresser for the past eight years. I have had long haircuts, short haircuts, color, and foils and I have never been disappointed with her work. I highly recommend her and Bella.
