I really want to like this place and support small Burlington businesses. However, I was very disappointed with my experience yesterday. I received a pedicure and gel manicure here, and I will not go back. The pedicurist was very inattentive and moved haphazardly throughout the whole process. When I got home I realized she missed painting my pinky toe! (See picture) Additionally, the polish came out bumpy and with uneven color and is already chipping after one day. Thankfully, the gel manicure came out nicely, but the manicure station was extremely dirty, which made for an unpleasant and uncomfortable experience. There was nail dust everywhere from the previous who knows how many clients, and, as others have stated, they used an old magazine instead of a towel as a barrier to the table. I hope they can improve their practices, but in the meantime I cannot recommend this spot.
This was THE WORST and shortest 10-12 minute pedicure I've ever had. I was a nail tech/mani-pedicurist for several years, so I know the protocol and this guy failed miserably. He let my feet soak for LESS than 3 minutes while he grabbed his things. He sat down and didn't say a word. It was awkward so I asked his name and he said it was Huong. (not sure if I spelled that right) On both feet he cut my big toe nail and the toe next to it SO short I was in disbelief. He never used a nail file at any point on any toes. When he used the tool to scrape under the nails it was painful. He used the exfoliator for about 30 seconds on each foot. He put NO EFFORT into removing much of anything. He ended up just vigorously "rubbing" the dead skin off with a warm towel. He stood up and another woman sat down and looked at my feet. I assumed she was the owner and maybe he was new and still learning. I thought she was going to finish what obviously still needed to be done...but she didn't do anything and just started to polish them! Today those 4 toes are sore, red and puffy on the sides.
Awful, my friend wanted a fill and they started taking her nails off instead. I got a set and my nails were crooked and they made us move from station to station. Worst experience ever would never go back.
Don't go here unless you have an hour and a half to kill on a VERY BAD manicure. They use magazines instead of a clean towel to rest your hands on, they don't have a drain in their pedicure chairs (he was taking the dirty water out one bucket at a time!), I had to file my nails myself while sitting there since they left them rough, and they didn't offer a hand massage or lotion! Poor experience and no customer service.
Visiting from Texas and broke a nail the day before my granddaughters graduation party. They were able to squeeze me in and match the color really closely with just a few hours notice on a Friday afternoon. The other shop in town just waved me away and said there was no way he could get me in. Oh well. I know where I will be coming when in Burlington!
