BEAUTY ESSENCE SPA in Fair Lawn, NJ

The lady who did my pedicure didn't even say hello to me. My friend got his toes started on before mine, and yet I some how was finished first while my friend was still getting his skin dead skin picked off. She didn't even cover my whole nails with the nail polish, and didn't even scrub the dead skin off my feet. Didn't even say anything to me and kept looking on her phone to change YouTube videos she was listening to. Very rude, worst pedicure I have ever gotten. The lady who did my manicure was very nice but ripped off my fake nails and didn't soak them off. She put on the gel very sloppy and it is bumpy and uneven through the nail. Very disappointed in this place. Also awkward setups with the chairs.

Very very bad experience, I had been waiting here for my appointment since past 45 minutes. I had an appointment at 4.30 pm today with Maria and I was here sharp 4.29 pm, but the front desk lady told me she is with other client I have to wait a bit. Ten - fifteen minutes is to be understood but 45 minutes?? I found out that she took some walk-in client just then even though she was booked with me. Very unprofessional, why would you take the appointment if you don't work professionally. If you give priority to walk- in first then why the hell client will booked the appointment. Our time is valuable. Not only that the front desk lady whoever she was had a very bad attitude of telling me in a very bad way with her attitude as if she is giving me free service. She was very rude and nasty.I am totally disappointed.

The owner Sabrina is a mess......she won't put the a/c on...when I asked her why, she said the workers were all cold (I asked my manicurist Yulissa and she said she was definitely NOT cold). So what is the deal Sabrina? I LOVE Yulissa bc she's so sweet, and....she does the best job on my nails by far, AND the price is great. BUT........I need to find someone else in another salon, bc Sabrina clearly does not care about the customers.

The Spanish lady at the reception desk is one of the most rudest people I have ever encountered! Instead of telling me she over booked she kept saying because I was 10 mins late, she took another client. Even though the girl who was before me was still getting her nails done. What an unhappy person should not be working there

I've been a customer of these owners for over 10 years. They also own Sexy Nails in Garfield and I've been going there for years till they opened this Essence Beauty Spa in Fairlawn. Well for starters, Sabrina (one of the owners) has spiked up the prices ridiculously and now that she's managed to expand her business, she doesn't care to maintain her regular clientele! I made an appointment for a regular pedicure at 5:30pm on a weekday and I waited till 6:20pm to be seated at the chair. They kept telling me that the girl who would do my pedi was polishing another client so that's why I had to wait that long. I sat in the chair for another 20 minutes soaking my feet only to be ignored! When I got up and went to Sabrina to ask why it's taking so long when my appointment was over an hour ago, she blew me off and said she's busy and can't do anything! She's very rude and has absolutely no sense of how to run a business. She forgot that she managed to expand her business because of loyal customers like myself who've been going to her salon for over 10 years! Don't waste your time and money here! There's many other salons that care to provide good customer service and don't charge ridiculous prices!
