Beauty & Grace Salon in Brunswick, OH

I started going to Stephanie to get my hair done a year ago and couldn't be happier. She goes out of her way to listen to what I want, doesn't mind me bringing pictures in to discuss (lol! i am "particular" about my hair!) and also doesn't hesitate to let me know if she thinks something else would work better. She will share ideas for staying on a 'budget' and at the end of the day she is all about making sure the customer is satisfied and makes sure you are genuinely happy with the results. I have been leary in the past to get my curly brunette hair highlighted as it tends to turn out brassy/orange and often just looks frizzier, but Stephanie knows her stuff and makes my highlights look great! She is also great from a standpoint that if you are tired/stressed/have-talked-all-day-at-work-and-just-want-to-zone-out she doesn't pester you for conversation. If you do want to talk, she's great for conversation too. I highly recommend her!

Lori really listens to what I want while adding her own advice on what will work-always wanting to make sure you look and feel your best! I can't say enough good things about her! The salon is well maintained and clean which shows they really care about the total customer experience.

Loved Loved Loved Essence Salon. My stylist, Lori, was awesome! Asked me what I was looking for but provided suggestions based on my face/head/coloring/etc. I am 50+ and have very thin, fine hair - she gave me the perfect cut for me. The color is the best -- I have been coloring my hair forever, and this suits me perfectly. She was awesome. Very warm place -- the other stylist, Sherry, was also very nice. You get to know the other patrons -- and I had only one visit. I will definitely come back -- actually made my next appointment. Mucho compliments on my hair -- Lori really did make me feel special.

I was coming to Ohio for a family visit and wanted to get a new hairstyle and color. After researching on Yelp, I was impressed with the reviews of Essence Salon, so I booked an appointment with Sherry online. I arrived with a photo of a cute bob hairstyle, but since I'm 50+ and don't look like Kate Moss, modifications had to be made! Sherry was so skillful in cutting my thick hair and she explained what she was doing every step of the way. She also showed me how to style it to replicate what she was doing. When she was finished, I had to look in the mirror twice. Was that chic lady really me? My husband was so impressed, he later went to Sherry and came away with a very clean updated look. Lori colored my hair and added highlights. It turned out just the way I envisioned. Both of these ladies are super-talented and as a bonus, they are genuinely nice, too. Their tiny shop is filled with positive energy and laughter. The prices are very reasonable. I would recommend Essence Spa to everyone. I will be returning when I travel to Ohio.
