Bali Bar Nails & Spa in Omaha, NE

Last Friday, I spent 2 hours and $120 before tip for an Ocean mani-pedi at Bali Bar Nails.  The girl spent an exorbitant amount of time massaging my legs for the pedicure.  Finally she started my manicure, which was included in the price, but when I asked for shellac $15 was added to the bill.  After 1 hour and 55 min. had passed, I informed her that I had to leave in 5 min. as I had another appointment.  She quickly finished my mani and massaged my arms, which I didn't need.  Five days later, the manicure is peeling off and my nails look terrible.  I am going to have to get them redone somewhere else. My mani-pedi was supposed to come with a pina colada drink too, but I was never offered one of those.  I don't know how this place earned Best of Omaha.  They weren't friendly, spoke Vietnamese to each other constantly and did not try to interact with the clients.  I'll never be back!

I was honestly hesitant to post this review, but I want everyone to know the truth... This is my second time visiting Bali Bar Nails &Spa since recently moving to the Omaha area. On my very first visit, I only got a pedicure with gel polish added to the service. I was satisfied with the pedicure, but the polish application was poor. I told myself it was manageable because I was going on vacation the very next day. However this time I decided to go on Saturday, April 8th for a self care day. I was satisfied with the pedicure. The scrub and massage are absolutely phenomenal each time. As far as the manicure, I don't see myself ever getting that service again. My nails were not soaked, cuticles we not addressed or pushed back either. My nails were just filed down with a single drop of cuticle oil, and buffed in preparation for the gel polish application.

When it comes to cutting down nails, and polish application, the employees seem to struggle greatly. I am writing this review Tuesday April 11th to show what my nails look like 3 days after having them done. Streaks and bubbles can be seen on my nails, as well as bare nail where the gel polish was not applied over the entire nail . You can also see similar streaks in my toes nails, coupled with a crooked shape. I am very disappointed. After paying $111 for both services, I would expect this to last for at least 2 weeks. However, I am left with no choice but to remove this monstrosity of gel polish, and attempt to straighten my toe nails out myself. I would not recommend this place to anyone looking for a nice finished product, however if you just need a massage and scrub, I recommend.

I have been coming to Bali Bar for quite sometime, but today was the last time. I called and made an appointment ahead of time for a pedi, only to get there and be told they actually wouldn't be able to get me in because a big party came in. when I showed frustration they just gave me a $5.00 off card and barely even apologized. Very poor customer service and I will not be coming back.

Their pedicures are hands down the next I've ever had. Yes, they're a bit pricey but you truly pay for what you get here. Young did my detox pedicure the other day and it was heaven. I highly recommend going here if you want a pedicure where they rub your legs and feet well and not just apply lotion. The detox pedicure was worth every penny!

This place has everything you need! Nail technicians who are extremely talented. They have tons of colors and tons of designs. Everyone here is friendly. They have Specials like $15 off after your 10th visit, to teachers appreciation day and military. Visit their website! Janie the owner is great! If you want wine they have it. Mimosas, margaritas, beer, etc! I asks for Joung or Gary. They know what I like when it comes to the shape and thickness of my nails. By far the best place! Also big deal, they take their time. They don't rush through their work and they don't hurt you. Give this place a try.! You won't regret it!
