Aqualocks Salon in Fall River, MA

After going here for a few years without problem, I looked forward to my biyearly appointment! Unfortunately, this time around, it was a very unpleasant experience. I was going to tolerate, and for the most part ignore the lack of professionalism and confidentiality as well, however, after being verbally attacked regarding my illness and being told to 'Yelp my blessed fibromyalgia heart away, sweetheart..' amongst other extremely degrading and nonfactual statements regarding my life and health.. Well I thought others should know the truth. For people struggling with illness or those that understand or even care for others with chronic diseases, this particular place may not be the right fit for you. If I would've realized how fake, opinionated, and judgmental this particular person was, I would've stopped going there sooner.  Getting a decent hair cut isn't worth being degraded.

Had an appointment with Stacy yesterday and it was an absolute pleasure from start to finish. I was greeted very well and I was offered water. Stacey took a lot of time my hair and made sure she took off any small stains on my face that might of been left over. I left looking bouncy and feeling pretty. When I got home my husband actually said I looked younger and took me on a date! This is my new go to place and I look forward to next time.

I have very short hair, and I am hesitant to go to the hairdresser. MANY bad haircuts and dye jobs in the past. Dawn specializes in color. She's a color genius, if you will. This salon is CLEAN. The owners OCD really makes it a better, cleaner experience. No covid fears. After years of horrible pixie haircuts, I finally found my "forever" salon. Anyone interested in a pro color and excellent cut needs to go here.

Jenny has been my hair stylist for well over a decade now, going back to when she was at another salon. I followed her when she and her partners opened AquaLocks and I would follow her anywhere else she goes. Stacy and Dawn are Jenny's partners and I can vouch for several things from all three stylists. First, they regularly attend training seminars and conventions where they learn the latest styling and coloring innovations. This is a Paul Mitchell salon and all their tools and products are top notch. I always feel that they could handle traditional cuts, as well as the newest trends in styles and colors. Second, they listen to their clients' questions and concerns and discuss the styling and/or coloring process to make sure it's what the client wants. Also, they are professional while also being friendly and personable. There is always a casual vibe and comfortable conversation going on, but there's never TMI or anything too personal being discussed. I've been to salons where clients and staff alike behave as if it's a therapist session and left feeling tense and overwhelmed. A visit to this salon leaves me feeling like a trip to a salon should - relaxed and fabulous! While I have only ever gotten cuts and color, I know that the salon offers manicures and pedicures as well. Prices are very reasonable. Appointments are required, but I can usually get in within a day or two if I need to. Highly recommended as the best salon in Fall River!
