Walking into this place off Main Street it's so bright and vibrant. The entire staff here is very warm and inviting. They make you feel at home before you're even in the chair. I went to see (the oh so talented) Nick. I hadn't had a good cut in years and he delivered one of his signature cuts giving my hair depth and life. His blowouts are A1 and I left feeling brand new. I get complimented every time I leave the house. He's amazing at color and gives you exactly what you're looking to achieve. My daughter saw Carolyn this past weekend and she's been feeling herself ever since. She had some chunky highlights done elsewhere in Bay Shore and wasn't too happy. Carolyn gave her exactly what she was looking for with her balayage technique and it looks sooo naturally gorgeous. There's a reason so many people followed her and Nick from their former salon. Amazing people who love what they do and deliver gorgeous results.
I have a big event on Saturday and this place came recommended, so I made an appointment online last week. The day of my appointment, the girl was sick and they needed to cancel. Did they give me the next day same time? No. Did they give me the following day same time? No. Did they have this Saturday? No. I work Monday through Friday, an 11 appointment is not accommodating at all. So no I would not recommend this place, they will only accommodate their regular clients. So if you're reading this review, save the time and look elsewhere.
I had been going to Alexis for maybe a year. I originally asked to see Andrew (who I think was the owner) but he wouldn't take me. so I tried Alexis. started off ok, but by the third appointment she completely overcharged me. she changed what I had booked, never discussed with me & naturally prices are not listed anywhere. it was very disappointing. but what bothers me even more, she smokes pot in the back. do they think customers don't notice these clouds wafting by them. do what you want on your own time but not while you are doing peoples hair. Andrew needs to correct that. I have moved on. totally disgusted.
I love this salon! I highly recommend it! I personally see Carolyn and her coloring techniques are phenomenal!!! She is truly a hair magician!!! She always listens to me and gives me exactly what I want, which is so important! I have never left here disappointed. Everyone is so kind and polite and the interior is beautiful. Come here next time you want to treat yourself!
I absolutely have found my home salon. I get my hair done by Andre himself. I have just started going, about 9 months ago. Andrew has done my hair 3x now, and every time- I am more in love than before. He never disappoints and honestly everyone in the salon is super sweet and nice. It has such a good vibe. Love, love, LOVE!!!!
