Let me start off by saying I've known Angie the owner since I was about 14 years old when I used to get my hair done at Jcp . She's been doin my hair on and off for 22 years. It's always a shoo-win with her .........and her staff. I've been to the original salon she opened and now the renovated one and it's gorgeous. As long as I'm in the area they will always have my biz !!!!
They have no respect for time. They cut my daughters hair wile taking out a sew in and no one said anything to her or to me. I called and yes I was very angry and no one answered or called me back.
I called about extensions. The woman I spoke with was engaging and professional and answered all of my questions. We had a lovely chat, and I was excited to make an appointment. I was then advised this salon is not gender inclusive. This is particularly disappointing given the owner's history of social entrepreneurship and positive community impact, and also confusing since gender-inclusive bathrooms are listed. I explained that I am gender fluid and a working member of the beauty industry and that I didn't know who else to contact in our area, but no other help or recommendations were available. I understand inclusivity isn't mandatory, but no matter how often this happens, it doesn't get any less disappointing or disheartening. :(

I believe in giving local businesses a chance. I called An'Tyrice to setup a consultation regarding what type of style, etc. Well, the person who answered the phone would Not work for my business. She definitely had a I don't care, whatever attitude and I do mean attitude. I asked if I called the right place and she was like you did, all sleepy and rude speaking low and exhausted. Honestly, I tried to engage but decided to just say thanks never mind. If you don't want any business, then let her keep answering the phones. I was very disappointed and surprised. Maybe that a blessing in disguise.
