My hairstylist was very friendly and I enjoyed talking to her while she did my hair. She didn't mind trying different things with my hair until I liked it enough for a wedding I was going to. Christina was great and end result was pretty. However, they charged me an unexpected high price. Even though they told me on the phone the day before that a blow out was around $50 and an up do would be around $70, depending on what was done, I was charge $95 (plus tip for my friendly stylist). I didn't have time to question because I had a wedding to get to, but I was not happy about that. I felt taken advantage of because they knew I was out of town. Later, the up do fell out quickly. Therefore, I can only give it 3 stars. It was a nice atmosphere and staff overall. The hair was pretty before it started falling apart. You should maybe establish pricing ranges before committing if you're coming here for the first time.

I had an absolutely horrible experience at this salon. I bought a Groupon deal for a Keratin treatment through them and the first strike against them was that the deal I bought was advertised wrong. It's your job to make sure, don't blame Groupon. Second strike was when I called to make an appointment and the woman who answers the phone tells me one thing about the product, I show up and the stylist tells me something completely different, causing me to change my schedule and come back another time. When I went back for my new appointment the Keratin didn't take. I was upset after spending all this money so I emailed the company and they wouldn't respond. Strike three. I kept emailing until I heard back, at which point I was told I would be reimbursed. Here I am 3 months later and I was not reimbursed, and not even given the respect of a call back. They have the absolute worst customer service and I will NEVER go to them again.

I went in for a blow out last week. The salon is small and not as fancy as many others but their prices are reasonable and the staff is incredibly friendly and welcoming. They serve coffee and had what looked like out of this world brownies to offer but somehow I managed to control myself and not have any. While sitting with my stylist, I felt like I'd known her for years- she had a great personality and was up to date on her pop culture so we had plenty to chat about. All the other stylists were equally as friendly and this had a clear impact on other clients because everyone was comfortable enough to chime in on the conversation going on. Aside from the atmosphere, she did an excellent job blowing out my hair and doing it the way I asked. Her own hair was well kept and colored which leads me to believe she keeps her skills up to date. They also have a nail station but they only do manicures. Only downside is they only accept cash or checks.

Ambiance is a terrific neighborhood salon offering nail, wax, and hair services. The stylists are all extremely friendly. Their years of repeat business is fostered by the engaging atmosphere and cheerful hellos your entrance is greeted with. I highly recommend Tina as a stylist. I have been going to her for years and find her very up-to-date with the latest trends. She is a very sweet and funny woman. The prices are affordable, with women's haircuts starting around $34. The shop also sells various hair care and beauty products. The salon is very clean and serves coffee and treats. They accept walk-ins, but are cash only. I have heard mixed reviews about their nail services, though.
