ACME Markets in Vineland, NJ

Had a poor experience here recently dealing with snotty black female cashier. I didn't have bags and this person refused to get me any. In fact she had quite an attitude about it. I had to go to the customer service desk to get them. In any other supermarket , like Shop-Rite, the cashier would get you bags if you didn't have any. Meanwhile this ignoramus snickered and complained about me to others in line. I realize that certain people can't do customer service well given their ghetto attitudes and low intelligence. I try to make allowances for that, but this person was too much even for me.

The only think i like about this market is the empty aisles. Its hard to believe how this store survives but when you see their marked up prices, you get it. Inflation is bad. Its oct. 2021 and we are facing supply shortage and rising prices. I feel like this gave Acme the green light to gouge us in the butt (thats where my wallet is) Go to Dollar General or Aldi or Lidl. This place sells the same stuff for way more. Total ripoff

Acme does indeed have nice clean stores and a fairly typical selection of foods, but geesh their prices leave a lot to be desired. But the few times I've gone in it looks like a ghost town with hardly anyone shopping. I wonder how this chain stays open because they're not competitive with other chains.

For being around longer than I have been alive, this ACME is A-OK in my opinion, although I am not sure how they do it. They are located in Maintree something or other Plaza. The handful of times I have been in here, no more than a few stragglers have been seen walking through the aisles. I always wondered how they have stayed in business. This is the only place I can find my Looza Strawberry Banana Nectar. There is one homeless lady, who has been there for about ten years, who will ask you for money from the door to your car to the ACME door. Proceed with caution.

They removed self-checkout 6 months ago. Worst decision ever. Always long lines. Horrible selection plus many items expired so be careful to check. Hard to find items as layout seems to change monthly. Store reeks of fried chicken - you will reek of it by the time you get home. One homeless person often near entrance asking women for money. I have no idea how this store is still open.
