5th Avenue Beauty Salon in Maywood, NJ

LOVE this hair salon. After moving from NYC I actually prefer this than the two overpriced hair salons in Manhattan. Much quicker and the results are the same (if not better)!

My new go-to salon, having left another ("upscale" and pricey) I am delighted I found Anji, the owner, who has the salon in tip top shape, follows Covid regulations (even provided a fresh mask following my cut) and is very friendly and accommodating. Most important, the cut was great. I've been several times already and we've tweaked the cut, at her suggestion. I am extremely happy with the service and the fabulous result. The prices are very reasonable as well. Highly recommend.

I've been looking for a great local place for my usual blow outs. Angie is wonderful and so accommodating! I have very thick hair wavy hair, and she does such a great job!

BEST KEPT SECRET IN NEW JERSEY! We are an old couple travelling the country, staying a few months here there and yon just to enjoy our "glory" days and this great country! The most stressful challenge...finding someone to do my hair - my last good feature. 1. My sister-in-law lives in this area. Her hair always looks great, literally always .... but she is younger, cuter, and has a completely different hair style...and trying someone else's beloved stylist and not liking them can cause all kinds of hurt feelings..still I was desperate. NJ is overwhelming to us Southern folks. So I tried this place. 2. Angii talks and is casual and lolls around doing the work ....I admit I was a nervous wreck the first time because I thought ...how can she do good work if she isn't totally FOCUSED? I am used to FOCUSED and I admit it...I am used to very expensive, snooty, fancy. My hair is my one extravagance. 3. THIS PLACE IS FANTASTIC. FABULOUS. AMAZING. She is unbelievable. And inexpensive! We may have to move to New Jersey! 4. I had tried for 3 years to get a specific haircut and paid through the nose to get it done. Apparently it is impossible to do in Texas. Angii got it done in the first go round....cheaper...better...faster. HOW is this possible? 5. We stayed for 3 months at the Jersey Shore and I drove back each month to get my hair done here. I wonder if Texas is too far to drive back....?? 6. Oh, forgot to mention. Very comfortable, welcoming, friendly, clean, and if my sister-in-law is there when you go...you'll also meet one of the nicest people in the world along with Angii!
