5 Sisters Nails & Spa in Spartanburg, SC

I made an appointment on a Friday morning with Kate, this is the typical tech I would see. Was told when I arrived, 15 mins early, that she wasn't there but that her sister would be doing my services. I was okay with that because I know her sister does good work too. I waited over an hour to be seated for my pedicure. None of my services were with Kate's sister. I had 2 separate techs do my pedicure and dip manicure. I have been coming here once a month for several years. I paid for my services because I was in a rush to get out of there after 3.5 hours. Called them back no more than 10 minutes after I left to complain about how unhappy I was with the services provided. All of my nails were different shapes, lengths and not fully covered in color. I asked for a refund and the woman I spoke with said that would be fine as she knew I had just left. Told her the amount I paid with tip and proceeded with my birthday trip out of town. Almost 2 weeks go by and I still don't have a refund on my account. Contact my bank to assist as I had also reached out on Google with no response from the business. Received a letter from my bank today which is almost 3 months after this happened and the owner had sent a letter to them stating that I was a liar. I was utterly shocked that after years of being a customer and the amount of money spent here, that this is how I was treated. The rep at my bank said that she felt truly bad for me and did everything she could to help as this one she took peraonally as well. The only one lying here is the business owner. I will NEVER come back here and I would definitely find a different salon to go to. What a disgusting show of character and if I could negative stars I would!

I never leave negative reviews; I try to give places the benefit of the doubt, but it would truly be a disservice to others looking for honesty about local businesses to not share.

My past several experiences at this salon have been really bad, but I hoped for the best today because they used to be my favorite nail salon. Not sure what has changed. Today, I shared a photo of what I wanted and asked if the nail tech could do it - I am completely understanding of individuals with different skill sets and would've been happy with something else (however this was not intricate/extravagant at ALL). I share the photo she said she could do it and had the color. I tell her I want nude as the base and she nodded. Halfway through she's not using the color I asked, I then asked again if this would end up being more nude and what I asked for and she said yes.

It does not even look like I had a manicure, it was completely half done. My cuticles are all still showing nails are crooked - I could've done this at home myself. On top of that I now have white/blue nails... could not be further from what I asked & showed her. I tell her that I did not want this, that it was not what I asked for and I did not like it. She just said sorry and told me my nails were finished.

She was on the phone, running around, helping other people at different stations with their nails, etc. the entire time. Seems like they had way too many customers than they could possibly handle at once, people with appointments showing up with no where to sit - which is also unacceptable. After a certain point it was clear she was not going to fix my nails so I paid and left - what else is there to do? Hopefully whatever is happening here will get sorted, as I am not the only one with a negative experience based on some of these reviews. However, I will not be back!

It's crazy , 2 years ago I left a nice 5 star review after first coming here. I wish I could say the same today, but clearly times have changed. I hate that I didnt get the lady's name , but she has made my experience pretty crumby the last 3 times coming here. Unfortunately I'll have to find somewhere else to go. She was way too rough with my nails and whenever they are packed she gets easily overwhelmed and does a halfass job. Unfortunately she was the only way who could seat me. The last time i came, I accidentally left a too large of a tip (they didnt deserve one at all). She had someone else take over to do my nails, her name was Kate and she was the sweetest. Poor girl, she didnt know what to do when I requested a refund for the accidental tip. The other lady rolled her eyes, had a whole attitude, and rudely handed me back my refund in cash, walked away asking "you good?" ... I said nothing of course, I dont think she woulda have liked all rude things I could've said back, so I made my exit. . . While she's working there I won't be back. She takes the care out of self care... I hate idk her name, but she's normally the one who greets you, so if you go, you may want to be seen by someone else ..

Honestly, wanted to give 0 stars. I number 1 had a reservation at 2 and they got to me at 4 all because I threatened to leave. I left that place at 6 $80 for a manicure and pedicure and they didn't even use the colours I asked. They saw about 5 before seeing me (they were regulars, they knew their names). The manicure wasn't a full manicure, I didn't even get my cuticles cut before they slapped on the acrylics. Honestly all the good reviews have to be from regulars who they treat so good, don't listen to them you WONT be treated the same. Pushed aside and to wait for 2 hours. It's a terrible place. Oh and they will talk about you and you will know.

Edit: a day later I see bubbles in my nails, I don't even know how that magically appeared. They did the nails too fast. I cannot stress how terrible this place is. Would never even Recommend to my worst ememy

We made an appointment but they still took people without an appointment before us even though we were on time. After 2 hours, they finally started my nails. My sister was with me and they set her in the chair get her set up sat in front of her for her pedicure and then left to do someone else's nails. People who they knew sat and got started immediately. the service was trash. We spent a total of 4 hours there and only a hour was spent on the manicure and pedicure
