I was able to get an appointment for the following week pretty easily online, and also was able to reschedule for the next day when something else came up unexpectedly. I appreciate that! My appointment was with Shannalee, who texted me the day before to see if I could come in at 10:15 instead of 1. I couldn't, because I told her I worked until 12:15. She asked if I could come at 12:30, and I said I thought I could make it, depending on traffic. So, then the next day comes, and she messages me telling me to take my time and that parking may be hard at this time of day, and 12:45 is fine. I got there at 12:25 and walked in downstairs. I had never been here before. No greeting. One guy cutting someone's hair downstairs. I told him I had an appointment with Shannalee and he told me to go upstairs. I did. Again, no greeting. I just sat down, as the two stylists were with clients. Twenty minutes go by, and Shannalee has finally finished with her client and asks me who I'm here to see. I said, "I think you, Shannalee" She was nice enough, but no acknowledgment of the fact that she asked me to come early and then I sat and waited for her for 20 minutes with no greeting from anyone. The haircut was fine. She was fine. I have short hair, so it took no more than 20 minutes for her to cut my hair. Then she told me it was $95. What the hell?! I've lived in Los Angeles and had my hair cut in many high end salons and I've never been charged $95 for a 20 minute service. I was wondering if this was always the price and she said this is what she always charges. Ok, maybe for someone who has long layers and complicated hair that takes an hour to wash and cut and dry and style, but she didn't even wash my hair. This just seems outrageous to me. I was prepared to pay more than usual, but not $95. Everyone I told afterwards dropped their jaws in disbelief. I'll be making the trek back my old salon (Society) in Cranston for my $30 haircuts. They greet all their clients with smiles as soon as they walk in, they do a great job, and their prices are great. Maybe this place is good for rich people, but if you're not, stay away. There is a reason there are no prices on their website.

Shannon is truly a miracle worker. I left in tears of pure joy today after I had my hair colored cut and blown out. Thank you for making me feel like "me" once again! Highly recommend this salon and stylist.

I've been going to Shannon for literally more than half my life! (And I'm 42!) She has talked me off the ledge of doing something unflattering more than once, instead always has my thin, pin straight hair looking . I've also had the pleasure of facials from BOTH Lyndsay & Katelyn, keeping my aging breakout prone skin looking smooth & clear. Love the 43 East Team!!!

I'm very happy with my haircut by Chris. Punctual, skillful, and attentive to the cut I was looking for. Highly recommend.

Really disappointed about this place, made a reservation it got accepted and 20 minutes before they just canceled it. I was in the place and a blonde women was very rude and not helpful at all, would not recommend this place if you can find another one I would recommend doing so
