3 in 1 African Hair Braiding in Florissant, MO

I'm somewhat confused with the few reviews I just read here.  My great-granddaughter Chloe has had her braids done here for sometime now and there has never been a problem.  Her appointments were always kept and her braids have ALWAYS been beautiful and exactly as requested.  We're getting ready to schedule her appointment again today Friday, October 6, 2023.  Thank you ladies at 3 in 1 African Hair Braiding, job well done!

This was the most disgusting place ever , they were so rude after telling me to come at 8:30 am for small waist length box braids, first she took an hour to start on my hair, when she started she was so ruff, combs and brushes were gross , she didn't even part my hair correctly, my hair was coming out of the braids, when i asked why she said my hair was cut stupid and to fine blunt so it wasn't gonna stay in. when i asked her to stop she got an attitude and said she was half way done (which she wasn't cause i only had 10 braids) when i tried to leave they had me locked in the building and told me i had to pay for their time , in order to leave. I was so upset i just sent them the money so i could get out! I know now that the authorities should've been contacted in that moment but they are aware now and i will be pressing charged. Do not go to this place i beg of you.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR GAS MONEY GOING TO THIS ESTABLISHMENT. I made an appointment at the Alton location a week prior on a Thursday, and I was told by the woman whom answered the phone to show up at 8:30 am to get my hair braided. She said they had their own hair and to not worry about bringing my own. She got my information over the phone, and I assumed we were all set. Sounds simple enough, right? I showed up for my scheduled appointment time the following Thursday (after driving for 40 minutes to get there) as previously discussed , and when I showed up, the woman acted completely mystified that I showed up for an appointment she herself scheduled. I explained that we already had an appointment, and she stared blankly at me and said that I should've called to confirm while she was doing another patron's braids. No apologies, no offer to reschedule, and no attempt to remedy the situation whatsoever. If she had my information (which was previously given to her), you would think she would've called ME to confirm before just overbooking herself. Terrible business management and deplorable customer service. I'm truly disappointed in my experience, and will NEVER do business with them in the future.

The previous complaints about the kids and the shops lack of upkeep are true. I have posted photos to verify. I was quoted $120 on the phone but the owner said I was told the wrong amount and charged me $150. There were 3 people working on my hair and the little girl pulled on a braid so hard, she ripped it off. At first I thought only 5 braids were loose (I didn't stress because they added to much color so I'd fix it myself) but I realized that there were more. I went back to the shop and complained. The owner said to come back but the next day and she'd fix it. The shop was closed the next day due to the weather and so I called her request a refund. She proceeded to complain about how time consuming my hair style was and stated the girls worked hard ( but hard work + poor service + lack of skills = poor customer experience). She only offered the extra $30 she charged me back. I places colored rubber bands (SEE PHOTO) on each loc that was messed up and was astonished by the number. I'd say at least 60% were messed up. The girls were giggling and speaking in their native dialect. At the time, I assumed they were just chatting but now I think it was because they knew they messed up. ALTERNATIVE BRAIDING SHOP: Mame African Hair Braiding, 1249 Dunn Rd, Florissant Mo. my sister goes here and they always do a wonderful job. Unlike these scam artists, they were honest with me and told me they can't do the individual faux locs. They did do my crochet locs and I always got compliments on them and my hair grew with them.

My daughter made an appointment for Havana twists recently after calling around to several places for the best price.  Hair was available on-site, which is helpful...and her hair turned out great!
