I moved to Auburn a little less than a year ago and cannot believe how lucky I was to stumble upon Sara R at 12K salon. I typically like my hair styled very short i.e. pixie or alternative styles and it is not always easy to find a stylist who can understand what I am looking for in terms of my style, but Sara has seriously never once sent me out of the salon with a haircut I didn't love! She is extremely through as well as communicative with me about what I like or what look I am trying to achieve and even teaches me how I can style and what products to use. As someone who is still learning about style and products it means a lot to have stylist who not only wants me to feel good leaving the salon but wants me to feel good every day by teaching me what is best for my hair and style. Basically, Sara is a gem and I cannot recommend her services enough!

I went here in spring 2021. No one was wearing masks. The woman cutting my hair kept telling me I could take my mask off and was making me feel very uncomfortable with my choice to keep it on. She cut my hair dry, which as someone with straight hair, it messed up the quality of my cut. The whole experience was less than half an hour and I don't feel like it was fully worth the price

I am new to the area, and desperately needed a haircut. Nothing fancy, just a simple buzz all around. I decided to try 12k based on all the positive reviews and late closing.
12k is without a doubt the best place I have ever gone for a haircut. Not only did Ryan, the owner, make room for me without an appointment, he took the time to cut my hair right. That's right, he didn't cut any corners.
And on top of the best haircut, he gave me tips on where to find the best restaurants, and took the time to write them all down for me. The cherry on top - a free adult beverage to help unwind after a long day at work.
As long as I am in Alabama I will never go anywhere else for a haircut.
