Been going to Nate for about 10 years, from Madison, to Middleton to Sun Prairie, and now drive to Portage to see him. I have coarse, curly hair, and he keeps me looking fresh! He humors my phases (purple highlights, growing it out etc.) Plus he is a delightful personality!

Nate did my hair for my wedding. I could not have been happier with the outcome! It was exactly what I wanted, held up all night-even through dancing! Nate was prompt, professional, easy to work with, and so pleasant! 10/10 would recommend!

Nate is AMAZING! He always does the best job with my hair and giving my hair life! I've just had a baby and my hair looked terrible. I had dry, split ends and my hair was way too long and I just looked like a hot mess! I'm one of those people that are extremely picky about my hair and who I let touch my hair. I've made a TON of mistakes by trusting in stylists that could've and SHOULD HAVE TOLD ME "NO! THAT'S A TERRIBLE IDEA!" and at the end, I ended up looking silly and the style I had in my mind should've probably stayed in my mind. I wanted someone who would be honest with me and get to know me and my style so that they may have some advice about what I should do with my hair and especially what would look good! Nate IS that person! I've been going to Nate for about 3 years! I'm 29 years old and have gone to several stylists, from smaller salons, popular salons, salons in the mall, salons all over this country and I have never been satisfied and I have never loved my hair after paying hundreds of dollars to get it done. Shoot, at one point a stylist let me get away with having a bob and dying my hair jet black. I mean... LOOK AT ME... I do not look good with a damn bob. I don't have the face for a damn bob! No, it's not on the stylists and it's not their fault. But I always ask for advice. I say that they are the professionals, they have the experience, and they are the ones looking at me. So therefore, I would always ask, "imagine me with this hairstyle and hair colour do you think it would look good with my face and my personality?" If you don't go home and look at yourself in the mirror and be like, "Damn, my hair looks good! I should do my makeup (even though I'm not going anywhere or doing anything today)" then maybe you need a new stylist. If you don't get compliments about how good your hair looks then maybe you need a new stylist. That's what we're paying for. We're paying for beautiful and healthy hair! We want these compliments because we want to look good and feel good about ourselves. We get our hair done because we want to look good and look presentable. So pay for what you want and don't settle with someone because you don't want to hurt their feelings or they did an okay job and your okay with your hair. I even take my daughter to see Nate and she's 7 years old. He always does a wonderful job with her and makes her feel so pretty after her haircut. He's AMAZING with curly hair! Products Nate uses are Surface and DevaCurl. I have really sensitive scalp and I have gone through so many different kinds of shampoos/conditioners and some have worked for a bit and then irritated my scalp. I have spent so much money on hair products and would give them to my siblings and friends because it would irritate my scalp. I would buy the cheapest to the most expensive brands and I have never found a product that I could stick to. (I'm still looking for a good shampoo/conditioner that I could stick to.) So if you have sensitive scalp like I do, you'll be fine with the products Nate uses. I'm on day two with his products in my hair and my scalp isn't irritated or itchy. If my scalp didn't agree with his products, it would be irritated and extremely itchy and uncomfortable by now. Scheduling appointments is quick and easy. I used to have to wait months to see Nate and would travel to the West Side of Madison to see Nate, and since he's moved closer to the East Side and has more availability, I did not hesitate to take full advantage of that! Nate books up pretty quickly and is of high demand. So get in ASAP! He will not disappoint! For as long as Nate does hair, I will forever be grateful! I will follow him wherever he goes because he's THAT amazing! Seriously, that's got to say something. That should speak volumes.
