Zoom Tan - Tanning Salon in Johnstown, NY

Such a terrible company. I was grandfathered into paying $10 a month and I haven't tanned in forever. Apparently the charges went up to $40 a month and they wacked my card that amount. The company couldn't even refund the $43.00 for a service I didn't use and wasn't able to cancel in time. The company must need my $42 really bad.

I put one star only so my post would be recognized I have been going to zoom tan since they took over our local tanning salon i pay a monthly fee that is taken out of my account the 1st of every month I go to zoom tan almost daily on my lunch break from work if not daily every other the staff I feel recognized my face when they greet me however their system is you have to scan your finger and give your phone number to check in not sure if the scanner is old or if it's just my fingers that they don't recognize so I have switched fingers on the scanner several times they often wave it and let me go in because like I said it doesn't recognize it however I visited there on my lunch today my finger would not scan and they asked me for my ID only being at work I do not carry my pocketbook or my ID for obvious reasons so I was told today that I could not use a service that I pay for because I did not have an ID what I'm most angry about is recently I made two purchases they do not accept cash so you have to use your card which is fine but I was told that I did not need my ID or my bank card to make said purchases because it was on file so with a click of a button I was able to spend over $100 no ID no finger scan no nothing what boils my blood is that I was not able to use my $106 lotion that I bought there today or my service that I said is taken out of my bank account monthly because my finger would not scan the girl at the desk was very nice she called the phone number and asked and they also said no when I called the phone number the lady kind of shrugged me off she did not ask for my name right away I had to ask her do you want my name and my phone number so that somebody of higher management could call me back I've yet to receive a call and that was hours ago I think the system is ridiculous and I will be shopping around for other places to tan and think maybe you should too

I recently went spray tanning at this location and left my rings behind. Something I have never done before. Went back to get them and they were gone. I have used this location since it opened years ago as Total Tan. I am absolutely disgusted how corporate offices do not want to help. I will be pulling my membership and will never recommenced this place to anyone. Poorly run establishment. Wouldn't even have given a star but had too to get this out there.

The manager is a doll. Everyone else, extremely rude. If I had the time I would drive 45 minutes to go to the Saratoga location. Most of the booths don't work so no matter what time of the day you go you're going to have to wait. No more beds, only stand ups and like previously mentioned in another comment, they're soo hot. Unfortunately, it's one of the only places around. I'll be canceling my membership after this month (my first one)

I only visit the area maybe 5 times a year - I couldn't get a bed unless I bought a very expensive package. I was forced to use a booth for a $1 a min - not the worst but- it was soooooo HOT I could only stay one min. I had to step out of the tube several times and ended up just tanning my face on the open door. I will not be going back unless they change the way they set up payment (no cash also) plans. P.S. The person forgot to include winkie eye covers in my transaction- had to again use my CC for $1.00. I was with my nephew and he got his eye covers on the way out of the building- that pretty much sums up the experience. Oooooo -and my 57 year old brother couldn't tan because he didn't have his drivers license. Very Stupid Policy and uncomfortable tanning.
