Zensations Salon & Spa in Chipley, FL

If there was 0 stars this place would have it! My experience at Zensations Salon with Kirsten. Highly suggest not going here.. (obviously not in Louisiana) so my hair was pretty much destroyed after leaving.. the blonde was exactly what I said i didn't want... the red was beautiful.. during the process i started feeling sick as if i was going to pass out. I just figured it was from not eating that morning..my head was burning and asked if it was normal.. the lady said yes its normal. When i left i couldn't even put my head against the cars headrest because it hurt so bad! I felt i had something in my hair and just figured it was shampoo or something that didn't get fully washed out... until i got back to my moms and my husband took a video of the blisters.. my mom informed the lady and she claimed to not notice.. but how do you not notice at least irritation because like i said my scalp was burning so bad i felt like I was going to pass out..fast forward to when i got home. Which was a few days later, my first time washing it since i was told to wait a few days so the red wouldn't bleed. The lady told me wash the blonde and red separately IF i could. Which at the salon i was have to hold sections of my hair as she washed it. So im not sure exactly how i was supposed to do that by myself. I did try as best as i could but it was just impossible. After the verg 1st wash (with cold water as told) my hair was pink. The red wasnt even red.. it was pink. After ONLY ONE WASH! when she was made aware of my hair of course it was my fault for not washing it separately..and at this point my head was still full of blisters that scabbed up (gross i know) i seeked advice from another professional and she told me not to put anything else on my head because i risked my hair falling out. At this point ny hair was already falling out. I had to wait 3 MONTHS to get it fixed. I was so embarrassed to even wear my hair down. Not once did this lady offer to fix it or anything just a lame apology she didnt really mean. My hair being done was a my Christmas gift from my mom. I showed her many styles i liked all which she said she couldn't do. But seemed very confident in doing half and half (not sure the correct term for what was done). The whole experience was negative. I was in tbe chair over 4 hours and all she did was complain. She decided to work on Christmas Eve. So that wasnt my fault. Literally complained the whole time. It was all around a terrible experience. I dont do negative reviews on things but i mean....this deserves one for sure. Feel free to share!!

Blisters in my daughter's head. Her two toned color (Red and Blonde) bleeded and became one color all over pink after first wash. My hair became very damaged and had to be cut short. It seemed Kirsten wanted to blame me for her not getting my hair right everytime. She made me feel like it was my fault and I couldn't be pleased. I never had a problem with my hair before I moved and had to find new stylist. Thankfully I found one who is positive and got it right. Love my hair again! After talking to a few other people and she insulted me..I decided to leave a review.

We went in for 3 kids cuts and was told it would be $10 each. The first childs cut was awful and super uneven. He was so embarrassed to even speak. The second child had to guide the stylist on everywhere to cut and she still didnt do good at all. We asked for the first childs hair to be corrected. Another stylist whispered to us that she would fix the 2nd kids hair (which made us feel awkward about why she had to whisper it). She made it look a lot better, but still super choppy and uneven! After both kids were done I wouldnt let either of them cut the third childs hair. The stylist told me that I didnt owe anything (as I am assuming she even knew that the cuts werent worth paying for). We walked out to the car, kids embarrassed by their hair (begging me to take them to dothan to get it corrected), and we get followed saying we have to pay for at least one cut. Then we are told its not the $10 like originally stated, but its actually $15. Seriously?! Between two stylists we cant get two basic boy hair cuts done correctly then we are going to get charged more than what originally quoted? Its not a lot of money; its the principle of the matter. We wont EVER be back!
