Had 1st appt yesterday with Brooke Behrens she spent over an hour cutting/thinning my hair and then styled it so darn cute! The owner came over and introduced herself and gave me a little gift bag with samples of their own Yellow Strawberry hair products and thanked me for coming in. How nice was that and made me feel so welcome! Went ahead and made 2nd appt with Brooke. Highly recommend Yellow Strawberry for any of your hair needs very clean and professional and does great job! I moved to Sarasota from long island NY. I had the same stylist for 15 years. Two people recommended this salon, I was not disappointed. Lilianna took time to listen to me and look at my reference pictures. She is definitely a perfectionist, it took about an hour to complete my hair. I'm a short hair girl, and I found my short hair stylist. The shop is also very nice and clean. I highly recommend the shop as well as Lilianna 100%.

I always try to find the very best in services when I move to a new area. While I live about 20 miles from this salon, it is well worth the effort to use their services. I found them with a strong recommendation from a customer and that recommendation was "spot on". My stylist is excellent, but it has been my observation that there are other stylists that appear to be extremely competent as well. My appointments are always on time and I am very happy with the continued outstanding service that I receive there. My wife also uses the salon and she is very happy as well regarding the performance of the business.

I went to this salon today to get my hair cut and colored. My stylist is the owner Tina. I was excited to get my hair done and showed Tina an old picture of myself with the hair color I wanted. I was very specific about this, a beautiful caramel hair color to frame my face. I was quoted $ 85,- for the color and 85,- for the cut. When I sat down, Tina said that I need highlights to achieve this color. I said "You are the professional, I am sure you know what you are doing. " A few hours later I looked in the mirror and was shocked to see the result which left me which bleached grey highlights and a dark chocolate base, nothing close to my desired caramel color at all. When my girlfriend walked up she was shocked aswell. I expressed my dissatisfaction right away and she suggested a glaze that could lighten the hair. I declined since I was already overwhelmed by the suddenly increased bill of $295,- . We argued at the counter with the front desk person , with me ending having to pay for a hairstyle that I did not ask for. I did not leave a tip. I should not have to pay for it at all. I look ridiculous, I cried the whole way home. None of my friends liked it either. I kept before and after pictures for evidence because I am so upset that I will dispute the charge.

I recently had an appointment with Sandra for a highlight and cut. I told her I wanted ash highlights, rather than gold as my hair color is medium blond. She "lifted" the color for the highlights, leaving me with white strips, then put a toner on for the ash color. What I ended up with is a bottle blond look. No visible highlights. The cut was great except at the nape of my neck which is my natural medium blond color at the bottom with the "highlighted" hair ending about 3/4 inch above that. It looks like I have a blond wig on that doesn't fit. She offered to darken my hair but I wasn't willing to spend another 3 hours in the chair and additional money over the $200 plus already charged. Never again.
