Wild Child a Salon and Spa for Kids in Tacoma, WA

Charlotte did a great job, I brought a picture of a previous haircut my son liked and she matched it perfectly for him. The salon itself is also very cute. We'll be back for sure!

We had a wonderful experience here! My daughter (almost 2) had her first haircut today, and Charlotte was fantastic. She was super patient and kind, and the haircut was absolutely darling. She gave us a few clippings to save as a keepsake in a cute little bag. They have fun chairs for kids and offer Netflix as a distraction. Note that they are cash or check only. That and the price are more than worth it for a place that makes kids and parents feel so welcome!

Charlotte did such an incredible job on our little boys first haircut. She was so gentle and patient with our little boy and even saved us some of his hair. Will recommend her and all others to this place! Caution- it is cash only- which we didn't know initially.

We drove 30 min to get here, because my son doesn't like haircuts and needs the chair straps. We're from out of state and were visiting for the holidays. The stylist told us immediately that my son (2.5yo) would be better if we weren't in the room. I said I was happy to give that a try, but I assure her that isn't the case. The second we left the room he was hysterical. She said to not come back unless she came and got us. We could hear him kicking, screaming, sobbing the entire time. He did not stop. I'm sure this works for some kids, but they should accept it won't work for all kids. My son has never been hysterical like this during a haircut, ever. He cries and isn't happy but it was nothing like this. When she showed us the haircut, he had 6-10 long hair right in front of his ear. I asked if we could please cut that (as it looked ridiculous) and the stylist scoffed and said 'well I did my best.' Ma'am I said I didn't want to leave him and it wouldn't be better. I'm not saying you didn't do your best, I'm just asking for a finished haircut. Haircut didn't look like any of the pics we brought in (short on sides, longer on top, nothing crazy.) but since he was so distraught the entire time I let it slide. We had to go to Safeway to get cash because they're CASH OR CHECK only. I wish there was a pop up when we made the online booking that said that, but there wasn't when we booked. Kid was distraught to the point of hyperventilating the entire ride home. Honestly if your kid is fine with haircuts this place is probably fine, but if they're not, I'd try to find somewhere else.

We had Charlotte and she did amazing with my son. Super attentive, patient and did a fantastic haircut. I will definitely be taking him back to her. We only came here after another local "kid" salon was extremely rude. I'm so glad we found Wild Child!
