VIP Nails in Holladay, UT

I went yesterday for a pedicure and it will be my last time here!  The pedicure was just ok.  The water was too hot and he never asked how the temperature was.  HE was very rough on the nails to the point of pain.  I don't think he said two words to me the whole time.  Very quiet and unprofessional.  The prices are very reasonable, but my experience was awful.  When you have a pedicure/manicure you expect to be pampered a little bit ( at least I do).  This is not the place to be pampered.  The salon was very old, dingy and fairly gross. I DO NOT recommend.

In town visiting my parents from LA and wanted to get a mani/ped because all nail salons in LA are currently closed. I didn't expect much because manicurist back home is amazing... BUT
Lilian and Issac went ABOVE and BEYOND. Not only did they both do an amazing job, they are both the sweetest, most welcoming couple.
VIP will always be my go-to nail salon when visiting Utah.

Made an appointment for 2 people mani pedi. Called to confirm and everything. Got there and they didn't have enough people for us. Finished our pedis... and asked about manis and they were surprised.
Pedi water was cold. The pedi was nice though. The mani was good. But we were there more than 2 hours which was miserable.

I live in Olympus Cove and have tried this nail salon several times.  Because of the location, I was willing to put up with a few issues.  That said, after this last visit, I wont be going again.  The pedicure was poor and several steps missed.   When it was time for my gel manicure, I sat for over 20 minutes with my hand in cold water waiting.  When it was my turn, she acted annoyed and rushed, and after the final gel cure, moved on to another guest, no lotion, no massage, no nothing.  Unbelievable!  I asked her if I was done and she said yes, if I wanted to wait a few minutes, she would put lotion on.  Then when paying, the price charged did not match the price quoted.  I think the techs were capable, but it was such poor customer service I wont be going again.

I would never recommend going here. I went in this morning for a gel manicure. I told the gentleman the length and shape on my nails was where I wanted it but he filed them down short and square. I don't care for square shape. I liked the natural shape that my nails were in. Now they are sharp and uncomfortable. It's only been an hour since I've left the salon and the polish has already started to chip on 3 nails and lift on my one of my thumbs. You can see brush strokes, thin gaps in the color and where the top coat was missed.
