VIP Nail Bar in Okemos, MI

The man who did my pedicure made me feel like crap when I didn't have cash but I did have a card to pay. They have apparently large fees for charging cards but do not let you know up front, and proceed to make you feel shitty for not have cash to pay instead of card. Not a lot of people have cash. Especially going in to get their nails done. "Merry Christmas to you too" is what he has to me as I inserted my card into their machine. lol ok.

I came here for a shellac manicure today and was told that my nail design isn't possible (I asked for a celestial star design that would easily fit on my nails) and was cut on most of my fingers while my cuticles were being trimmed back. While shaping my nails the tech only used a file (that's fine) but left the ends thin, uneven and SHARP. While inspecting my nails before leaving a nail had a dog hair under my top coat on two nails and literal bumps on most of my nails. When asking to have it fixed the tech said and I quote "it's not that big of a deal. I can't even see it, why do you need it fixed" she only fixed it because I stayed in her chair and waited for it to be fixed. After paying for my nails she seemed annoyed to give me change (I paid in cash and needed change to tip). Safe to say I will not be coming back and will be going to a new salon tomorrow to have my nails fixed.

I've come a few times now with my fiancé. I just do a pedicure while she gets all of it. Always so relaxing and they do an excellent job on both of us. So nice and enjoyable for me and her. We'll be coming here as long as we live around here!

ABSOLUTE FUCKIN TRASH EMPLOYEES AND CUSTOMER SERVICE. I came in here after calling so they KNEW I wanted to get a DIP MANICURE. The little girl doing my nails had me looking at colors THAT WERE NOT DIP COLORS. I was told I had to find another color AFTER I SPENT TEN MINUTES PICKING A COLOR AND THEY STARTED TAKING MY NAILS OFF. She then makes someone else take over doing my nails and makes me move. They then keep badgering me about what is wrong and I tell them and they tell me I can leave, they're doing my nails, and I left with half taken off nails when the "manager" was cussing me out BECAUSE HIS EMPLOYEE FUCKED UP MY SERVICE.

I decided to get up this morning and I wanted to do something for myself, so I called and they got me in this morning and I was so lucky. I got a pedi and dip manicure and this was my first time being here and I know it won't be my last. I finally found a great place for mani and pedis and I'm so happy. Kim did my nails and did a great job, Jackie did my toes and I have never felt so welcomed. I was treated with so much respect and I couldn't stop laughing while holding conversation with Jackie. It was truly the best experience I've had in the longest time and I will forever be a customer here. Thank you!
