This place is great! After many failures finding a place in the Mission that gives a good men's cut at a decent price, I finally found it at Victor's with Maria. She is thorough, detailed, kind, and does a fantastic job. Highly recommend!
I don't write reviews often. However, this work was done so well it needed all the praise. I have thick Latin hair that most hairdressers find trouble working with, but Maria did such an amazing job. I was left with my mouth open. She not only is so extremely sweet, but she also asked me what I wanted and did exactly that! The price was very fair for the work she did. I would definitely go again!! This place feels like home, highly recommend.
I've used them for 4 yrs now, which spans well over a dozen haircuts. Inexpensive & a great clean cut that many others have complimented. I used to use Jackie who sadly left about a yr ago, but all of the people in there are friendly & competent. Also, reasonably priced given how high these so-called salons in the Mission can go to. (And, they can shape more than a buzzcut barber place can too.)
I called on a Friday the day before my daughter's first communion. They made time for her on a Saturday morning for a curl up do. They did a really good job!!! Her hair came out wonderful.
I walked in on a Saturday afternoon and was seen right away. I'm so happy with my haircut, my stylist really knew her stuff! I described that I wanted layered bangs and she advised me on length, I'm glad I listened to her! She added layers to the rest of my hair too and I'm so happy with how it worked out. Also it was relatively quick and given the quality and location in San Francisco - the prices are incredible! Update: I returned six months later (with lots of split ends after waiting so long between cuts ) and went to the same stylist (Julietta - she works there on Saturdays) and she did a great job again!! It cost $35 for the cut, which was $5 more than it cost in July, but still such a bargain for a quality cut in the city, that I was happy to pay a bit more and still tip 25% because of the overall experience. I am happy with this spot and with Julietta - I recommend both if you're looking for a haircut in the Mission!!
