VEE NAILS in Prospect, CT

Beyond nailed it. Came in here nervous about trusting someone new for Brazilians. She was amazing- clearly knew what she was doing and it was incredibly painless. Also get my nails done- amazing again- fills, acrylic, gel, dip, etc and amazing pedicures as well. Call to make an apt because sometimes they get busy quick!

Update: there is a new owner. Service is better actually and she seems to care about the customers more so than last owners. Prices have remained the same, and she's open 7 days a week. This continues to be my go-to place for both UV gel fills and pedicures.

I walked in...the lady told me come back at 11am, I said sure! I get there at 11am...and end up sitting there waiting for a half hour before someone got to me. I just wanted a plain, ol manicure. No gel, no crazy stuff. A boring ass manicure. By the time I was painted...and she had to redue my middle finger because she messed it up accidentally...and ended up making it look bad nonetheless, I walked out of there at noon. An hour for a manicure? Please learn how to time manage your salon. I would've came in at 11:30 or later as not to sit there and twiddle my thumbs. I keep coming back to this place, since its so close, but it just doesn't live up to any expectations. My nail place is in Nails and Beyond in Bethel...if it wasn't so far I would go there in a heartbeat.  Only positive...the owner is very friendly and welcoming...just needs to figure some things out. An older lady who had an appointment for a pedicure didn't get started until 11 and she said she was here at 10:30. Figure it out before you lose these nice Prospect people.

This used to be my spot when Kyle & Lisa owned it. It then changed hands (they didn't even tell their customers, but one doesn't go on vacation for months and months ) which is upsetting. Anyway...V runs now owns it and she is an amazing nail technician However, she is the ONLY one who knows how to do nails. All the others are learning and it's painful. Literally. V overbooks herself by taking walk-ins when it's YOUR scheduled time. You wait and wait even when you have an appt especially on the weekends. My friends no longer go there much like myself, but just recently a newer technician injured my friends cuticle and it began to bleed. She began to attempt to polish the nail as it was still bleeding. My friend is in the medical field and told V This. She also said that they used the polish and that the polish needs to be discarded as she was attempting to polish a nail with fresh blood on it. Long story short, the polish was not discarded, but placed back on the polish wall. That was all I needed to hear. No more twin nails for me. I'm really bothered by this, because I liked this salon. It is most definitely not as clean as Lisa & Kyle kept it but the way she handled this last situation is disturbing and potentially a health hazard. Chesprocott was also notified by my friend.

Worst fill of my life. They were rushing, two different people worked on them. Some are thinner toward the cuticle and thick at top. I did a gel polish with a best beauty glitter coat. The clear coat on top was too thin and had holes in it over the glitter they used. They started chipping after two days. I was charged extra for the glitter because it counted as a design. Not my first bad experience here, but will definitely be my last. Will not be giving a 4th chance to this place.
