The Escape Salon & Studio in North Royalton, OH

#1 it's almost impossible to get a hold of this salon. You call and no one ever answers or calls back when you leave a message. So I emailed, I believe I found the email on the salon's facebook page. I wanted to use this salon for my wedding bc I saw good pictures & heard they were good. Through emailing Lauren I booked my wedding date & a trial (which took a couple weeks waiting on emails back & forth from lauren, she takes atleast 3 days to a week+ between each email). I arrived for my trial, was told the makeup girl couldn't make it and would have to reschedule. I thought okay no biggie. Lauren then did my hair trial, it was honestly great, I was happy with it & was looking forward to rescheduling my makeup trial. I told Lauren to let me know asap when I can reschedule the makeup bc I only had about 6 weeks until my wedding at that point so I wanted to have the trial asap. I then didn't hear from her for 2 weeks, during which I called the salon multiple times & left messages. At that point I was just thinking this salon is so unreliable I don't even want to rely on them on my wedding day, so I emailed Lauren & said just forget it. It's just so hard to get a hold of anyone & appears very unreliable

Came here as part of a bridal party for a wedding and was extremely pleased with my experience. Be careful because the place is easy to miss, tucked in a small strip plaza on state street, but don't be deceived by the exterior, the inside is modern and nice, and most importantly they do a great job with hair! Meg did my updo, along with about half of the bridal party and it turned out better than I could have imagined! I told her to do whatever she thought would look good, but just to make sure it wasn't slick against my head making me look bald. She gave my hair texture and a great bun that lasted all night! She was easy to talk to and made the whole experience enjoyable. She did about half of the rest of the bridal party and their hair looked great too. Lauren is the owner and took the other half of the party and everyone looked great. If you're planning a wedding I would definitely consider getting the parties hair done here. It was great. We had the place to ourselves and they allowed us to bring in some breakfast foods to enjoy while everyone got their hair done. They also had a makeup artist come in who did some of the girls make up, and they allowed others to bring their own and do it themselves. I can't speak personally to the typical hair cuts and other services, however the bride goes here regularly as did one of the bridesmaids mothers an both had nothing but good things to say. Try it for yourself and see!

I started going to this salon this past year and couldn't be happier. Lauren does a great job.

I came here on a recommendation after having a terrible haircut experience elsewhere. I could not have had a better experience! From the minute I walked into the salon, I was impressed with how at home I felt. The purple walls were inviting and fun without crossing the line into being tacky or boring. I loved every detail of the salon, right down to the music being played. I have very dark, very thick hair, so when I asked Kathleen to update my ombre I was a little nervous. I had heard nothing but good things about her so I but my faith in her and was not disappointed. She gave me the ombre I wish I could have had all along. I had previously been told by other stylists that since my hair was naturally so dark, I couldn't go any lighter than the slightly brassy caramel color I had. They were wrong! In Kathleen's experienced hands, my hair melted from dark brown to caramel to a light sandy blonde that I couldn't be more thrilled with. She re-trimmed my hair and evened out all of the ends that had been butchered (see my review for the hell hole that is salon cheveaux with any questions) and gave me a style that is easy to recreate but STUNNING. I will go back here again and will be having nobody color my hair but Kathleen for a long time to come. Long story short, go to the escape. Get your hair done here. It's amazing!

I have had my hair cut and dyed by A LOT of people but ever since I began going to The Escape Salon & Studio and had Lauren do my hair it hasn't been the same even my family comes here! She is an amazing stylist and takes her time at everything she does whether it's a cut, dye, eyebrow wax, etc. Very cute and stylish atmosphere! I will never go anywhere else but here! Give it a try you won't be sorry!
