Sara did my highlights. I used to get mine done at milk and honey at the arboretum in Austin but a friend recommended Sara. I am so pleased with the price and outcome! I strongly recommend Sara to any other natural brunettes trying to be blonde. It's hard to find people you can trust with your hair and Sara doesn't disappoint!

I've held off on writing this review but I feel like it might help someone out. Got my hair done here for my friend's wedding and it could not have been a worse experience. I can typically overlook a lot to leave a small business a good review but not this place. All of us bridesmaids left looking like show poodles. No kidding. This salon is stuck in the 90's as far as style goes. I asked for a simple half up half down secured by a braid. Nothing too wild. At all. Honestly I could do it myself and I suck at hair. However both stylists that were working on our wedding party said they couldn't braid... that should have been red flag number one. As the process went on the stylist was incredibly rude to me and in fact told me after I questioned the front of my style that "most people will say they like the back but there's nothing I can do about your face, hahaha." When all was said and done, I had curls that were sprayed with half a bottle of cheap hairspray, frizz and 42 Bobby pins securing half of my hair up. FORTY. TWO. BOBBY PINS. I was told I would "just have to deal with frizz." No way Jose. If the low price of styles for your wedding, prom or event interest you, STEER CLEAR. Pay more somewhere else.

Melanie destroyed my wife's hair. This is not an exaggeration, at least half the volume of her hair is missing. Enough fell out immediately after processing that Melanie asked if my wife shed a lot. And her hair is STILL falling out from the roots. My wife has spent 5 years growing her hair back after losing it to illness. Before today, it was so long and thick she was getting compliments on it regularly. Now she's in tears. Half her hair is gone, and the rest is thin, damaged and breaking... and might not be done falling out. She'll have to cut off A FOOT OF HAIR just to make what's left look healthy. To say this is traumatizing is an understatement. It's an assault on her image and her self image. How is this remotely OK to do to someone? And how can anyone possibly make this right?

I went in today to see about getting my hair done for my wedding in March. I waited inside for 10 minutes with no one greeting me or acknowledging my presence. Left without getting help from anyone. Needless to say I will definitely be using anyone else for my hair. It also smelled super weird in there.
