Great punctual service, I let Nautica do what she felt needed to be done and the ending results were great. Was my very first maintenance appointment on my Locs and I hope she's there every time I have to be serviced

**Update**. Ok so once you get in it's an awesome experience. They are the only Salon that I've seen that does natural hair IN RALEIGH.... So yeah it may be tough. However my girls love it. Great prices and everyone there is so kind!  I'm glad I gave them a second chance.

I couldn't be more upset. I actually spent several hours after going to Taji in tears.

For background, I got my hair shaped by curly cut professional about 3 years ago and have  been getting regular curly cuts/trims since then. My hair had grown tremendously (nearly bra strap length when stretched) and it was healthier than it had ever been.

I moved to Raleigh a few months ago and tried my best to find a salon that could help maintain the shape and growth I'd been working towards. I wish I had read yelp beforehand because when I left the salon I was devastated. I asked the salon no less than 3 times if they did curly trims, on natural, dry hair in a wash & go state. They confirmed, all three times.

When I got there, she started combing out my wash and go, and running through with a fine tooth comb. I wish I had gotten up and left then, but hindsight is 20/20. The woman Mai'ri, DESTROYED my hair. Not only did she ruin the length and shape progress I had made, she also did such an inconsistent job cutting my hair, you can actually see how long it was beforehand, because she missed a huge chunk!

I cried for hours, completely horrified that I trusted Taji salon to cut my hair.  NEVER AGAIN. please trust the reviews you read here and don't make the mistake I made

I went to Taji hair salon in Raleigh when I made the appt. The receptionist suggested a lady name Ma'ri and when she was done with my hair all I could do was cry. She claimed that she had years of experience however it did not show.  The reason I am posting this is so that other women will not make the same mistake I did by letting this lady do my hair Please see picture below. Had I seen the reviews before hand I would have never gone to Taji Natural Hair Styling.

I will never go to this salon again. The customer service was horrible and the front desk assistant was unprofessional. I went in for a consultation feeling confident and excited to embark on my natural hair journey and left feeling deflated and like I had the worst hair in the world. I was told the only way to transition was for me to do the big chop and then wear a sew-in. If I wanted to wear a sew-in I wouldn't have come to a natural hair salon. I know there is more than one way to transition to natural hair without chopping all your hair off. I wanted someone professional to help me along through the journey, but DID NOT FIND what I was looking for at Taji's.
