Studio One Salon in Sapulpa, OK

Y'all!! Beware!! I live in Texas and a family friend recommended this place. I have a pretty simple hairstyle and I needed a trim and some highlights. I was told Gary is the best, but what I had was the worst experience ever. Gary is unprofessional, rude, and racist!!! My stylist back home had to fix this nightmare! My highlights looked like cheetah spots, my haircut was uneven and my layers looked so choppy. The salon is dirty (mold around the sinks) and should have the state board called on them! Not to mention Gary's creepy son (Stephen?) lurking around. Watch out for him!! Lord, he gave me the heebie geebies!!!

I just moved to the area and came in for the first time about a month ago. Kennedy did a great job! Cut and shampoo for $20 (I'm a guy with short hair, so I can't speak for any other services lol) It will take you a little longer than great clips and such, but the cut was one of the best I've ever had. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming. It has a fun small-town vibe where everyone likes to talk and interact.

I'll definitely be returning and will likely make this my regular place to go.

I saw a review trying to say these people were racists or something based on online comments. Personally, I find it unhealthy if you're unable to let strangers have privacy outside of their work so I don't go creeping on employees. That said, I observed a diverse set of ethnicities and backgrounds in the employees and customers. They all interacted like good friends and were kind and respectful all around. Sounds to me like someone just got offended by a Facebook argument and decided to make personal attacks at the expense of the reputation of hard-working, small-town business owners. Frankly, that review is more hateful and bigoted than anything I saw. And I was actually there, so you can decide.  If you're someone that's worried about being treated with kindness and respect, I'd fully expect that you'll get it here. (As long as you don't have trouble giving the same of course.)

I called in the middle of the day on a Wednesday and asked if they could get my 11 yr old in for a cut with layers. I need in ASAP because she was getting her braces put on this afternoon and showing up to school tomorrow with braces and no haircut WAS NOT AN OPTION. Any Mom can feel my pain. They were very busy but bent over backwards to get her in. Jennifer and Jocelyn tag teamed her and even showed her how to curl it with a straightening iron. They did a fantastic job and made her feel very comfortable and at ease which meant a lot because even though she's 11 this is only the 2nd haircut she's ever gotten. Also all of the ladies are very friendly and funny and the whole salon would have conversations and joke around. This is something Ive only seen in a men's barber shop. Another positive is that I am handicapped and in a wheelchair and it would not fit in the single door so they jumped to help open the other door and make sure I had no issues getting in!!! I will not go anywhere but Salon One from now on.

Studio one is the best place in Sapulpa to get your hair or nails done! Gary for hair....Aisha for nails!
