Read below to learn how I was upcharge for having natural hair and spent a total of 100$ for just wash and blow dry ( no add on) and left the saloon no different than how I walked in. I don't typically write reviews, but felt it was important to share my experience so other people can make an informed decision on their own. The saloon currently has no receptionist, so you need to make an account to book or send them a text. I made an account and booked for the Curl Definition (Wash & Go). This service is described as "Textured hair is detoxed, cleansed, deep conditioned and set with curl- defining product(s) and diffused to reveal the natural curl pattern. I was pre-charged 32.50 and paid with my card on file. I went to the saloon 5 minutes early and was told there were two clients ahead of me. I was also told that I had booked the wrong service because my hair was "natural" I explained on the site to book this was the ONLY definition for what I wanted. Rosalind (the owner) said that was not the same and in not too many words explained it did not work for my curl pattern. I opted for the wash and blow dry instead since I was already there. I've visited many saloons before, but this was the very first time where I felt berated for my hair texture and for being a natural. Some comments by the owner "your hair should be detangled and sectioned before coming in for a wash. Maybe braid it so it's easier for me." "Your hair is going to take a lot of time; I have already shampooed so much." "We service everyone hair, and bi-racial clients (a few more comments around the bi-racial clients)" "There is someone else who can do "textured" hair." And the last comment was that I should make a note that my hair was textured when I book the appointment so they could be prepared. It was said in such a disparaging way as if I had inconvenience them by having natural hair. I've had my hair washed multiple times in saloons so I can speak on the fact that the actual service was subpar. The quality showed in the lack of time/effort in detangling and conditioning as well cleaning the scalp and not just the hair. The serviced felt very rushed and not like the saloon spa service I was paying for. Halfway through blow drying my hair I felt I was ready to leave. Time to pay I was told the charge changed to reflect my texture hair costing me additional 49.50 which brought my total to 82. Looking at my bill this upcharge was listed as "Textured blowout (Natural/Extra Curly). I tipped 18$ bringing my total to 100$. Overall, this was disappointing and completely unprofessional as a stylist do not let your clients know how difficult you think they are making your job because of the texture and state of their hair. It comes off as berating. It looks to me this is a wonderful saloon that just doesn't specialized in natural or texture course hair. As a paying customer, I do not want to be made to feel less than for your own comfort because of lack of familiarity with my hair type. As a saloon, I would hope that you are trained to do all hair types not just haircuts, colors or styling straight hair and loose curly hair. If you have upcharge for people that have natural hair, please make that apparent as well.

There's a reason they're pricier. Their haircuts for guys are the best ones I've received. Very knowledgeable -- ​They explain about the intricacies,if you ask. Makes me, as a guy, appreciate their art all the more. Plus, Roz is always nice, compassionate, and hard-working.

A+! Friendly and efficient stylist Sarah was awesome, cute, clean salon and great neighborhood. My wavy hair was well-cared for a blow out, and would highly recommend!! Owner is very nice too.

I had my hair highlighted by Sarah, and unfortunately it came out very different than what I asked for and also poorly colored. I had asked for very natural, thin, face framing highlights to brighten the top of my head, keeping a lot of my natural color for contrast and so it would grow out well without sharp lines. Instead I came out with most of my hair highlighted a much lighter blonde than expected and with most of my natural color gone on the top half of my head. On top of the highlights not being what I asked for, the color came out extremely yellow and brassy. I had to buy a color correcting purple shampoo and hope that will help fix the unfortunate color until I can get the highlights fixed.
