Spa Nails Wax in Highland Park, MI

They are pretty good. I go to the same guy that does my overlay beautifully. I do have to say the ladies will up charge you. I say this from experience I was paying $10 more for my same overlay set before I started sticking to one person. You just have to know who to go to but overall good service and I think they just opened here about 2 or 3 years ago.

It's a great place to go to if you don't mind the language barrier. It's amazing to me the amount of racism these people encounter and still come to work to serve customers like me. Like many restaurants you see with their overwhelmed waitstaff, this salon often gets very busy on the weekends as well. They're not the most talkative people but they'll strive to take care of you as quick and efficiently as they can. I've been coming to this facility for about 5 years now and they never fail to welcome me in. My brows look perfect every time, without fail. So if you're looking for a place that can be loyal to you and make your eyebrows look amazing as heck for a fraction of the price, you should stop on by!

They have a new location across the street next to the dollar store it is beautiful very up to date and clean more space faster services I'm here on 12/26/21 I love it

If I could not give any stars that would be great. Because they're located in the "hood," these people think it's okay to give substandard service and treatment. To remove my previous shellac manicure, a woman put acetone soaked cotton on each of my nails with no foil covers, so what's to prevent them from falling off??!!! Nothing! Then when that didn't work, they had me soak my hands/nails in a bowl of acetone WTH. Of course this took forever and didn't work so she just was grinding away with the drill and doing damage to my nail bed. Did I mention I didn't see any of their tools in cleaning solution or in an autoclave bag--so that's definitely a red flag. For my "pedicure," only my feet were done--nothing was done to my legs and the bare minimum was done to my feet. She didn't even push my cuticles back or make sure I had polish covering all of my toenails. Then she didn't use base coat before applying the polish. She didn't even bother to clean the polish off of my skin around my toenails when she was done. I was so outdone at this point, that I refused to allow them to do my shellac manicure. When I told the lady up front about the things that had been done/not done, she said each shop is run differently. How dare you come into this community and charge the same prices as shops that give great service, but treat your customers like crap and expect them to like it!!! I will never go back there and I regret giving them any of my hard earned money. They need to be shut down!!!

I went to this dirty nail shop on May 28, 2018 to get a simple manicure to my real nails and a pedicure. It was my birthday and the holiday and I didn't want to take a chance trying to go somewhere else and they were closed. First off, they didn't take credit cards which was an inconvenience for me but hey, it's my birthday, I'll go to an ATM. The customers in there were loud and cursing just as loud. I would have been offended if I was a church lady and just wanted a peaceful day getting pretty. The real reason I am writing a review is, I got the manicure on my nails and almost three months later my nails are still damaged from her using the file drill or whatever its called. The way my nails look now is the reason I stopped getting my nails done years ago. Anyway, I got my nails done I believe on a Saturday. By Sunday evening, somehow the polish had smudged off my nails and it looked like I had the polish on for weeks. The shine was gone off my pedicure and my toes did not look like I got them done. I will never visit this place again, I will bite my finger tips off before I visit this place again.
