SILK ME KIDS SALON SUITE in Harvey, LA

Very unprofessional. Work is horrible, products they used are horrible and they talk crazy to your kids. I only booked with them because I couldn't get in to see their regular hairstylist and they needed to take important pictures. I paid before services was complete. BIG MISTAKE! Thank God MY child's normal hairstylist felt sorry for her and fixed her hair for her. When my daughter came to pick up her kid they said we owe more money. Why wasnt this mentioned when I paid before the services. Kids left very unhappy. Their experience was horrible. We are told to leave the kids and I only left them because I left the 14yo with the 7yo. Picked them up and BOTH of the kids wanted to cry. They burned your kids and say it's the steam. My 14yo gets her hair done often and said she never felt steam from her normal stylist. No heat protector was place on my child's hair.

Wow what a terrible experience. First of all it's in the hood in a small strip mall I should've just turned around when I saw but I try to judge on quality of work. I walked in and no one greeted us just looked at us for a while until I finally said hi we have an appointment for my daughter(said her name)  at noon. The woman asked who was it with I told her kimmie and she responded that was her. Weird how do you not know the appointment is arriving so unprofessional from top to bottom. There is an adult in both chairs no kids being serviced. The adult in her chair is getting a roller wrap and she just started. I asked how long until she starts on my kid  she says flatly she doesn't know. So I say I will be right back going to grab her food. She runs out after me and says someone can shampoo her now. I was going to not come back but I said ok she's making an effort. They put a stained towel on my child and start wetting her hair. The shampoo lady is nice is calming belle. I'm standing there then kimmie stops her adult roller set again to come tell me that parents can't stay. I say she's only three I'm not leaving her with strangers(rude strangers). She starts physically ushering me toward the door telling me I can't stay I can wait I'm the car. she flatly tells me that they can't service her in that case. Are they crazy? Fine I'll leave keep the 50 dollar deposit. She then tells me I'll be charged the full price 125 even if I leave. I'm disputing the charge so who cares but honestly what a terrible experience. No class not as advertised. Even if I had gotten the Service I would never return. And 125? What about this salon or service said worth 125 for a wash and condition for a three year old. I should've needed the previous bad reviews. They aren't under new management. Don't go to this place

Yes, this technically a salon for little ones, BUT I refuse to let anyone else press my hair. Megan has been doing my silk presses since 2018, and she has protected my curl pattern.
I usually book on StyleSeat, and I've NEVER had an issue with her double booking. As a matter of fact, I've never waited more than 10 minutes for her to start my hair.
This past Saturday, a young lady shampooed and deep conditioned my hair. Another young lady detangled and blow dried. Megan pressed it. I was in and out in less than two hours, most of which was under the dryer.
Again, it is a salon for mini humans, but she DEFINITELY does adult hair. The services aren't cheap but the care she puts into my hair is worth it. I LOVE my huge afro, and she ensures that my curl pattern remains even after the blow drying and press out.

Easy to book. Even though The lady who did my daughters hair was very patient and did a wonderful job, I will not be returning simply becuz the customer service sucks. My 4yrs old and i walked in and WAS NOT greeted. It felt kind of awkward I had to open my mouth to say hello. The other stylists in there didn't acknowledge me or my child not one time. I wasnt thanked for bringing my service to them. Only left a tip becuz my child hair was beautiful

Job well done on the school supplies give away.Also great job on the hair cuts but not happy on waiting on getting my lil girl hair done waited there untill everybody left nearly and She stood by the door to get her hair done and they shut the gate understand it was first bcome first serve but my thoughts
