Went in for a very simple haircut, buzz on the sides and a scissor trim on the top. The lady doing my hair used unorthodox trimmer techniques that were making me nervous. She was chatting with others more than paying attention to her cuts and argued with me on how an edge of my hair line ought to look in the back when she finished. She left my hair line in the back looking like an inverse parabola and said she should round it off, seeing her opinion on what a "straight" line in the back was I was not about to trust her with that. My hair has a very unnatural shape compared to literally every other hair dresser and barber that has ever touched it. On top of all this the shop pans itself as a barber shop, it is not. I highly doubt anybody at this location is a licensed barber, they are hair stylists and quite apparently cannot use a straight razor as I witnessed a man get a shave with a foiled electric razor which, honestly should have been the sign to get up and leave. On top of all of this nobody greeted me upon coming in, customers who were clearly family friends were loitering around sitting in an empty chair behind the counter and not helping with the already tacky and cut rate aesthetic of the place. I went in for a quick hair cut and I got a very cheap quality one at the price of $10, this is the type of haircut I'd have expected to get for $5.00 from a supercuts or friend or some other quick trim and go type place where hairdressers find their first jobs, not a place that has two women with 15 years of experience. Steer clear if your a man looking for a good conservative classy cut, or if you're somebody looking for something quick and dirty I'd must suggest other places considering the price here atmosphere and general treatment I received as a customer.
Stacy is a fabulous beautician whom I've been going to for over 3 years now. This barber shop/ salon is her new location since September. Her skills are 2nd to none. My fave is to get wash and style. Always willing to braid my hair in the style that's current.
