Landing in this salon was a happy accident! I really needed a cut and color and I had no idea what to expect when coming in. The atmosphere was comfortable. Since I was a walk in I got to relax in the waiting area. The area is more like a lounge with a couch and coffee table. Joy was my stylist, however, I also watched the other stylist and they all really seemed to listen to their clients. They were professional yet personal and the stylist were friendly with each other as well. It was so nice to be engaged with, instead of ignored. You could say they seem a great team and I'm sure turnover is low at this place. The price was great and I was able to tip nicely because it was affordable! I have gone back and had my son get his hair cut here too! He has sensory issues and they were so kind and respectful of him that we will be going back! He asks about when he is getting his hair cut because they made him feel so respected and special! This is huge, because it has been difficult to get him to get a haircut for many years! I'm not sure about the many years old, bad reviews. Reading them is such a disconnect from the reality at this salon now. Please check them out. Definitely 5 stars for sure!
These women are incredible. I haven't been anywhere else in a very long time to get my hair cut, colored and styled. I have never used Heather as I don't believe she does hair, and in reality may not even be there anymore. This salon deserves 5 stars. You won't regret going there. It is relaxing, friendly and fun.
Shampoo 1 and Joy; the salon is located in a plaza across from the Wheat Ridge Recreation Center with easy parking. The salon is not pretentious, simple from outside and clean/comfortable on the inside. Although I did not have to wait, nice centered waiting are with couch. Staff is friendly and pleasant. The major reason I go here is the stylist--Joy. Joy knows curly hair and is a wizard with color. The prices are extremely reasonable and great advice on products as well. It's a nice place to get a great cut and color for an affordable price. Thanks Joy!
Heather is extremely unprofessional. I called about 4 times to make an appointment and never heard back from her or got anything set up because apparently she works in Wyoming 5 days a week and doesn't get service. I don't recommend this place and am thankful I realized how bad it was before I let her even deal with my hair. Very disappointed!
I went to Heather for my first set of eyelash extensions and I have to say that it was the biggest mistake of my summer. First, she wasn't sure what to use to put under my eyelashes so the glue wouldn't stick, well this wasn't successful and it was so painful as she pulled it off. My eyelashes literally stuck in every which direction and I was embarrassed to show others. I literally wanted to rip all of my eyelashes out! 3 weeks later and I'm still continuing to suffer. I have clumps of glue that are now growing out with my eyelashes and looks just awful. As I try to recover from this I am just left with clumps of eyelashes missing. I will definitely research the next person I go to because they will have to fix a lot:(
