I always look forward to my appointment at Shag 86. Jamie Farina is my stylist and she's a faux blonde artist. I am very particular about my hair, my roots, and making sure my blonde is exactly the shade I want it to be and Jamie does just that. Always on time, professional and fantastic at what she does!!
I get my hair done by Jamie F at Shag 86 and love her so much! She always works wonders on my hair, whether it's a cut, color, or a blowout. I've had many bad experiences with stylists in the past so I am so thankful I found Jamie. I always walk in there 100% confident that I am going to leave happy and she never disappoints!! She's also so helpful on advising what's best for my hair - it is always so helpful getting her advice on many different things. I would definitely recommend anyone looking for a great stylist who genuinely cares about your hair to go to Shag 86 and to go to Jamie!
This place is huge! I feel like there were 20+ salon chairs! I have super thick curly hair layered and long down to my waist and typically do my own blowouts or go to Dominican hair salons. But sometimes I just don't have time to spend 4-5 hours there (if you know you know) so I had been on the hunt for a standard salon where I could get a blowout in a pinch. Shag86 did not disappoint! I had been referred there for color specifically but decided to check them out for a blowout. I booked an appointment online just because I didn't want to wait til the morning to call and risk there being no openings. They have late weekday hours which is great for us working girls. I saw Jamie for a blow out brush set on a Thursday at 6pm. I was washed, blown out and in my car within an hour. A miracle for my Dominican hair. And my hair was silky smooth AND survived over night. Another Dominican hair miracle with just a blowout and no roller set (again. IYKYK). The staff were super friendly and welcoming and the salon was spotless, bright, and airy. Will definitely be coming back and might throw a hair cut in there too!
I've been to more salons than I can count, and this one is the perfect fit for me. The staff is friendly, my stylist rocks, and it's always a comfortable and clean environment. I would recommend it to anyone.
