Salon republic houses a stylist Samantha Gray at Bespoke Altier who is absolutely terrible. I had a consult scheduled with her, she was 20 min late and never followed up like she said with the information we spoke about and still had the audacity to charge me $50 which she wouldn't even apply towards the service if I did end up going with her. When I emailed her and explained that I think it's only fair that she return my $50 because of her being late and lack of follow through with the appt, she said absolutely not. She told me her being late was out of her control, but let's get real, most people will say them being late was out of their control, then she said she got busy and forgot to send the email, just another excuse. Being late or forgetting isn't the biggest deal in the world but be reasonable and understand that because of those things, whether in your control or not, maybe the client is entitled to a refund since the service was provided at such a terrible quality and the service was not fully finished seeing as follow up was never done. After I wrote a poor review of my experience she wrote me a personal email saying that it shows my character and she's just a single mom. Your personal reasons are not my concern. Had I not showed up because I had an emergency out of my control I'm sure she would have felt fully entitled to charge me a no show fee. She does not value the clients time, only hers. Again, this situation is so easily fixed by providing a refund.

Lorena (Melted Color Studio) is AMAZING! At first I was nervous to find a new hair stylist after moving to San Diego, since I'm really picky with how I like my hair to be cut and colored. I'm so glad found her studio on Instagram! I have been seeing her for haircuts and balayage for almost a year now and I am never disappointed.

Absolutely fantastic! Never had a bad experience here, this salon is one of the best in San Diego! I've heard about everyone getting upset about the drive in theatre being "forced to shut down," and it's very miscommunicated. The only thing the salon wanted was to request to move the drive in to where Sears was because it's always empty there. Clearly no one spoke to anyone in the actual salon because they fully support the drive in- they just requested that it be one parking lot over in the same mall. Have been going to this salon for years- will continue as long as I'm a resident here!

Salon Republic is amazing!!! I had the best time there from when I was greeted as l entered to my amazing hair by Tish!!! The salon was beautiful inside and I would recommend it to anyone!!!

I have to say with all this COVID drama and all the craziness I was so very impressed with Salon Republic when I got my hair cut and colored. They took every precaution plus extra steps to keep their customers safe. I felt no anxiety going into see my hairdresser because she went over the top to keep a safe distance, asking all those pesky questions about exposure and travel. Not only did I feel so safe from exposure because of all the safety precautions, I got a much needed color and can't wait to come back again soon !! Thanks for caring about your clients!! I'll be sending all my friends.
