Salon James in Allentown, PA

I called to see if they had a spot for me for Balayage the same day and they said I could come in as they had a cancellation, so I did. When I got there the stylist Scott said he probably was not going to have time to dry my hair but that we would see if there was a possibility. I did not say anything but in my mind I was thinking, then how will I know if it came out nice? If he has no time to do my hair right why tell me to come in then? Its not free, I am paying for the service. But being myself and not wanting to be pesty, I stayed quiet and hoped he would have time to cut and dry my hair. I showed Scott a picture I got from google of how I wanted my hair colored (closest possible to it), throughout the process he asked to see the picture two more times to mix the "glaze" I believe he called it. Four hours later one of the girls that applied the "glaze" and washed my hair told me that Scott did not have time to cut and dry my hair. I was disappointed. I went to the bathroom and noticed that the hair appeared a lighter red but my hair was wet so I was not sure how it was going to look when it dried, so again I hoped for the best and went to pay. Was charged $250 plus tips I left for the girl. I then had to go to another hair salon right from there to cut and dry my hair and pay another $60 plus tips. Just to find out my hair is orange and there is no color at the top half. I contacted the salon the next day and their story is that they are completely booked, whatever day I tell them im off doesn't work for them, they are booked. Wanted me to go after work at 7pm on my birthday when i had plans, which is why I wanted my hair done in the first place for my birthday. Said I couldn't see a different stylist. Why would I want the same one???? They said they would get back to me again after having talked to them and 3 days later heard nothing from them. Emailed them, nothing. Total disrespect, theft, and horrendous customer service. I wouldn't mind paying well for what I want 250 300 400 whatever if it comes out right how I want it. But paying $250 for something you didn't ask for is totally unacceptable. I asked them for my money back in the email so can have someone somewhere else fix my hair, crickets. Absolutely no response. First hair salon i go to in PA, first time I dye my hair and I picked the wrong place for sure.

BEST HAIRCUT I'VE EVER HAD EVER...I have very thin hair and it also has fallen out A Lot. Susann literally was a miracle worker..She took special care and the cut is gorgeous!! I'm sharing a before and after picture...I am super happy- the volume she achieved and the beautiful cut are beyond words!!

Called and asked for a last minute trim and blowout for my daughter. Called right back to accept our request. Very nice staff. Did a great job. Highly recommend.

I loved how my hair looked Scott is very talented. My hair cut was terrific and it had shine which it didn't before.This is a very clean and elegant salon.I am very happy to be coming here from now on.

Patty is fabulous and the salon is always clean and they are all friendly and every time she has cut my hair it looks great
