Rose is the most professional and talented stylist I have ever had. If she ever leaves the Bay Area, I am willing to buy a plane ticket to get my hair styled from her. After moving to SF for college, I went from one salon to another trying to find a stylist that understood my dream of having long, frizz-free straight hair. This struggle continued until my brother suggested getting a cut from Rose a few weeks ago, and my life has been changed since then! First, Rose really gave me a REAL haircut. She actually spent time cutting off all the dead, fried off ends (from all those awful straighteners, hair-dyeing, etc) from each individual layer so that I could maintain the hair length for the most part. Then, before I even asked her, she suggested Japanese thermal reconditioning because she thought that straight, sleek hair would look good on me. Although I was a bit reluctant since I had heard horror stories about Japanese straightening, I could tell that Rose would be different because of the care she took with my haircut, so I knew I could trust her. After 5 hours of taming my frizzy, Persian hair, I came out with beautiful straight hair WITHOUT blowdrying, straightening, etc. As if it was my natural hair. Rose even gave me advice on how to strengthen my damaged hair so I can maintain it for six to seven months. While most stylist are preoccupied with making money, Rose cares about her customers. She wants to find the best style that fits you and she takes time to make sure that she nails it to 100% perfection.

Rose is the best. She's been cutting my hair since she opened her doors 9 years ago. She does a great job, takes a lot of pride in her work and does your hair just as you ask. She's also a super sweet person and fun to talk to. You never get a dull haircut with Rose! Don't forget to say hi to Chico (her chihuahua)!

I am a guy and have been going to Rose's for over 5 years. She starts with a wonderful shampoo and rubs your scalp. Great feeling!!!! Followed by a conditioner. Then she towels your hair dry. Puts you in a chair and starts to cut. She is from Hong Kong and speaks with broken but excited English. She is one of the happiest people you will ever meet. She foillows your instruction as to how you wish to have your hair cut. Her prices are fair for men's hair cuts....I think it is $35 now and I always give her a tip. There is a dog, who barks but is friendly and quiets down after a minute or so. She has now moved to a 2nd floor studio on Polk across the street from her old location. .

rose is unprofessional. i dont know if its her loud small dog that wont shut up. or her constantly on her phone.or her terrible english. or her making excuses, she runs her business out of 10 bonita, i thought it was a apt building untill i saw her salon through a open window in the hallway. her so called "sallon" had no windows for ventilation or ventilation at all.my sister in law is sallon owner for more than 20 years and this is a direct violation of her license. im personally going to see that her license is taken away. she makes appointments with clients then calls you 20 mins before saying she cant make it giving you 3 or 4 different excuses. ha. the exact oppisite of what you expect out of a asian hair sallon. your done rose!
