Talent - so don't stop going!!

Im new to Westport, finding a place for a good haircut for kids ( and myself) has been a challenge so far. This place is a first one i consider good ( out of 3 places I've tried so far). Its also the most expensive.
Things to improve:
* haircut style can be better
* please wash the hair after the haircut

This salon is home to impressive beauty professionals. Colleen Kelly's talent for color and cuts is so superb strangers ask me who cuts my hair (they don't ask about color, so maybe they assume it's natural).

As I've gotten older (sigh), my hair has become more frizzy when it's humid. Colleen and I discussed the Cezanne treatment for transforming frizz into sleek. Sold!

Cathy, the Cezanne specialist, answered all of my questions. In one appointment, Cathy applied the treatment, then turned me over to Colleen for color and cut.

Wow! My hair turned back time by decades. It is shiny, supple, soft and without a hint of frizz. This is my hair from when I was 30! When I got home my husband did a double take.

Bonus: This treatment does not leave hair lank and shapeless. I can let it air dry for subtle waves, or blow dry for a polished look.

If I was able to give the colorist and stylist 5 stars I would. Jen, litka, Meghan, Cathy. All fantastic!!!! They deserve a five star rating based on talent and wonderful personalities. However, my ratings are based on the experience of what I am paying for. The salons prices are as expensive as a Steve Mancini or Vincent Palumbo. However what gets me crazy is the aesthetics and product line of this place. When I go to the other salons I get it. My money is going to the state of an art salon with the bells and whistles. Cappuccinos, Kerastase, comfortable washing stations, beautiful natural light. This place feels as though I am going to my Grandmother's salon from the 80s. There are empty chairs instead of stylists up front, the self styling station after color has crusty, old and empty product. It's kind of like a dungeon in the back.
Again let me say the staff who cut and color my hair are great! I adore them. However unless he reduces his prices I will need to stop going. For the 300-400 bucks I am dropping I want the top of the line products and I'd prefer not to have to bring my own.

This is my second review of this gem of a salon in Westport. Not wishing to spend yet another hot, humid Summer day with bad hair, I decided to have Kathy do the Cezanne treatment on my hair. Yes, I was very nervous. I have short hair that doesn't have much body. I need to use mousse to style and then hair spray - lots of it - to keep the style. Then on humid days...don't have to tell you what a colossal waste of time my efforts were.

I was nervous that I'd end up with very straight, flat hair. Was I ever wrong!  It's been three days since my treatment and I love my hair!  It's so easy to style with a minimum of effort and product and my hair looks great all day.

Kathy knows her product, is a whiz at applying it and the results are truly amazing. The effects should last about 4 months depending on one's hair. You must use sulfate free shampoo and conditioner which you may purchase at the salon but is readily available anywhere.

My Cezanne treatment was followed immediately with color treatment by Shannon who is another expert at Rick Garcia. Love my hair color!!
