Reflections Salon & Spa in Shelburne, VT

I've tried this local  salon and a few different stylists many times over the past 15 years. They are now my favorite. They definitely have experienced colorists and they have a wide range of hair stylists. My teens used to go there to get "fantasy colors" in their hair and my 81 year old mother in law goes there for a perm. I get colors, cuts and blow dries and styling. It's more of a salon than a true spa but the atmosphere and decor give it a good vibe. I have been pleased with their manicures, and they carry a nice variety of products. I think men and women of all ages could find a stylist here to give them a great cut. I have found that all the stylists listen to their clients and work with them to create the look the client wants.

I had my ears pierced (twice) by Karen in late June and late July. Since I was unhappy with the placement of the first piercing, Karen re-did them about a month later. Unfortunately, this second piercing was uneven and crooked, specifically in the left ear. I tried to be flexible with it, but was very worried at how close the second hole was to my primary ear piercing. With even the smallest of my earrings, I couldn't wear any of my earrings in the first hole because there was so little space between the two. This was very disappointing, but manageable.

Over the past few days, I have noticed a large bump of scar tissue develop in my earlobe and feel hot and infected. This has swelled up so much that it is affecting my first piercing (that I got as a child). I decided to take the new piercing out and am hoping it heals. However, I am concerned about this bump and feel that the services I received at Reflections have caused permanent damage to my ear. I'm not sure if this is the fault of the piercer or the use of a gun as opposed to a needle (which most reputable tattoo shops use), but I need to express my extreme disappointment with this salon. I would absolutely not recommend them for ear piercings.

I got a great haircut and highlights from Tara the other day! She made great conversation and treated me wonderfully while I was there. My highlights came out looking natural and fun! They use great products here at reflections, always top of the line.

I'm always pleased with how I look when done. They listen to what you want, advise you, and are very accommodating. I've been a regular for over 20 years.
