Brought my daughter in for a deva cut-it came out amazing. Regina is so knowledgeable about curly hair and walked through each step for us. I highly recommend for any one with thick, curly hair.

After straightening my curly hair for many years, the stylist who also colored it monthly told me that the chemicals were damaging my hair. I decided to stop the twice-yearly straightening and use a flat iron. I learned about Deva Curl products, began using them and discovered a Deva Curl stylist in San Antonio, Regina. She is now the only one who cuts my hair and I only wish I could style it as well as she does after it has been cut! I love my curls and knowing what kind of products work best with curls. This picture was taken after my last cut.

The "salon" occupies space in a wig store -- which is good because you are not likely to like a haircut from Regina and may have to resort to a wig. I should have trusted my first impressions which were bad, bad, and bad. We had a lengthy conversation where I said I am trying to grow out my hair because the weight weighs it down, I dislike it when stylists shear or texture the front part of my hair because I have wavy hair which frizzes and I specifically said layer only the back - even going so far to separate the front parts of my hair from the back to show what parts to cut and not to cut. She said that she would clean up the front of my hair even though she acknowledged I had no split ends so nothing to clean up. So what does she do? She snips off two inches from the very right front bottom section of my hair! When I told her I was concerned about what she just did because her next step was to cut off from the left bottom section. She said she should stop and I agreed because her idea of a "clean up" is way different from mine considering we spent 15 minutes about how I did not want her to cut the length from the front of my hair.

I have natural thick and curly hair. DevaCut hairstylist Regina did a fantastic job on my hair. On NaturallyCurly website, I was so glad that I found her about 2 years ago in San Antonio. I had blow dried and straightened my hair for years before I saw her. Yes, it was already too much "silicone" build up and heat damaged on my hair. Now I can "wash and go" my hair without wasting my time. DevaCurl hair products are wonderful. I really love my healthy curls and not going back to straighten my hair ever again.
