Pretty Nails 2000 Inc in Elmsford, NY

Went here a total of three times, first time I only got a gel polish touch up, second time I got a pedicure and gel fill, third time I got a full set. I went for the third time last Wednesday and the full set job was terrible (every other time was DECENT). I asked for coffin and my nails are uneven and pretty much square. When I got home I realized the acrylic had dried over my skin and onto my cuticles. I left for vacation that night so there was nothing I could do. Days later the acrylic over my skin started to come off and I developed an infection. It got so bad my finger swelled up, was filled with puss, and I could not bend, move or touch it. Today I finally went to the ER and was told I had Paronychia which is due to cuticle infections and bacteria. The Dr told me any time I get my nails done to not let them touch the cuticles bcus their products may not be clean and this is a result. I had to get numbed, needles stuck in my finger to drain the blood and puss and now I'm on antibiotics for a week! The nail techs do not do a good job at all, I was not satisfied with my nails and to top it off I get an infection. I'd never go here again. Oh, BTW I called to let CoCo know and she had NOTHING to say.

Worst manicure of my life. I didn't notice it right away but when I walked out, I realized there was nail polish all over my fingers. Is it cheap? Yes. Is the staff nice? Yes. But this service was sloppier than sloppy. Never again.

Went here hoping for a good experience over the weekend and left with horrible nails. First off, I use SNS and they had no clue what it was. I told the technician, CoCo, who I guess is also the owner that underneath the SNS I have very brittle nails (thanks to using acrylics for a year or so). While she's trying to get the SNS off and I keep telling her they just have to be soaked off she try's to pry them off of my nails. This should have been what made me walk out of the salon. She started actually hurting me by shoving a METRO CARD in between the SNS and my NAIL. She told me that is how "they remove the acrylics" I ended up walking out of the salon with an OK color gel manicure..... My nail that she tried to shove the metro card between hurts and is actually bruised. Please, for your own sake, don't make the mistake that I had made. Find a nail salon that is professional and won't try and remove your enhancements with metro cards. Oh, and they also had not heat or water....... And we're still operating.

So many nail salons to pick from- don't pick this one. I got a terrible "pedicure" here today. When I got home I noticed some of my old polish is showing through. He didn't get all the old paint off. He filed the ends, TOPS and SIDES of my toenails with an emery board. He filed off some of my cuticles during this- maybe to make the next step easier. He filed away even though I flinched and said "Oww!" A few times. I can paint my own nails so I was really there for the buffing and callous removal. This was NOT accomplished with the 8 second rub of the sponge thingy. Yes, literally 8-10 seconds. He put my sandals back in before paining my toes and proceeds to paint my shoes along with my toenails. HUGE waste of money. I could've done better myself at home.

I work and love in the area. Coming from the bronx, where there are many great nail salons, I was anxious to find something remotely close. Many of the salons in the area are over priced and either don't do acrylic or suck at it. Stumbling on this place was a gift from the nail gods. They have great designs and take pride on how they sculpt your nails. I am truly amazed on how great my nails look.
