Paul Milina Salon in Castro Valley, CA

The salon is beautiful and Paul does a fabulous job on my hair. I asked him to go short as my hair was severely damaged by an infusion of Reclast for my brittle bones. I was nervous to go so short, but glad I did. I've already gotten the number of compliments. If you're looking for a great salon, give him a try. I highly recommend this awesome salon and Paul.

I hate to write this review, but tired of being taken advantage of: I 'was soo happy to find (we will call her Badie). Well, I got a haircut 4 weeks ago and at had time made an appointment for 4 weeks.later Well Badie never texted me when my appointment was. On February 20th, I asked Badie, when my appointment was (CRICKETS). Now the day of appointment,that I I didn't know I had apparently, she wanted $30.00 cancellation fee, no show appointment. Anyway had been going to this girl for a long while since she was at STACEY MONROES. Well she cancelled on me at least two times had nothing to do with the Covid like she is trying to say lol. This has nothing to do with Paul Melina only the one stylist who's time is more important than mine: Here are the texts from us: Can I get an appointment I have June 1 at 5:30 I'll take it. To Ty Ok! Can you do earlier ? Like 4:30 or 5? That would be better for me if you can ... 4:30 is ok. Prefect thank you! Hooray! Salons are open for service again. I always go to Cindy M. at Paul Milina Salon. You can book directly with Cindy by calling or texting at 510-207-6687. Cindy always has the right touch with my hair. Today's visit was a colour touch up, conditioning treatment mask and style. My grey hairs are perfectly concealed once again, yay! I usually rotate my services. My next visit will be colour touch up, trim and style. Cindy is professional, kind, efficient and skilled in her profession. She handles all clients, women, children and men. The salon is following COVID safety protocols. Masks are worn by clients and staff. Hand sanitizer is provided. Everyone stays 6 feet apart (except client and stylist). There are dividers between stations. Staff sanitize areas after each client in any chair or area. I felt safe and taken care of at all times. I've been to this salon several times when visiting family, I wish the stylists in this salon were in Sun City West, AZ! From what I see of the stylists at this salon, a person cannot go wrong with any of them. My sister-in-law has her hair done by Rosario who has graciously accommodated me every year at this time for the last 6 years or so. I've had my hair cut and highlighted by Rosario and it is the best cut and color I have ever had. She is the consummate professional who takes an interest in her clients and what gets done with their hair. She shows a high degree of skill and flair, is up-to-date with modern/trendy styles; if asked, she will suggest cuts and styles as well as color that will compliment the clients facial features, skin tone, etc. This salon is not a hack shop, be prepared to spend at least an hour getting a fabulous haircut. I moved from San Francisco to Castro Valley and was looking for a new hairdresser. After a bad experience at a random salon, I've searched online, looking at the reviews and found a good fit for me and my family. Rosario cut my preteen boy long hair and did a great job. First at all she listened patiently. She asked some questions about what he'd like and made some suggestions. She meticulously cut his hair and delivered a cool/clean haircut that fits him well. My husband said he's going to go there next and so will I. I would recommend this place
