Oh Yes Nail & Spa in Orange, CT

Overall an ok place. Staff needs training and customer service education. If you go here, know exactly what you want before you walk in. Staff was very rough on my cuticles and nails, I heard complaints from other customers when I was there as well. My final result was what I wanted but lacked in technique and the product was applied unevenly with many bumps and air pockets.

I never write reviews but I had to. First off, she was so rough and wasn't paying attention and didn't acknowledge it, and made me bleed. My finger still hurts. Then I told her she wasn't going all the way to my cuticle and if she could extend the nail polish. She said the nail showing was my skin and when I restated that it was nail she screamed at me and said "OH MY GOD" and refused. Not to mention I asked for powder dip and she gave me gel to up charge me and then proceeded to tell me it was a slow day. So she just wanted my money. Then she charged me tax on top of my tip and told me a can't leave tip on my card, but didn't do that to the woman ahead of me. I wish I walked out!!!

DONT go here. I went in and got a pedicure, as she was trimming excess skin from around my nails I felt a sharp  pain like she cut me but tried not to be dramatic and she also didn't acknowledge it. When she poured what I think was nail polish remover on it was burning so badly but still thought maybe I was over reacting to perhaps a small cut. Now, three days after two of my toes are swollen and painful to even walk as well as throb when I am just sitting down and there are large scabs around the side of my nails. I have to make an appointment with a doctor to make sure now that I do not have an infection. I'm still unsure how she cut me so badly and if this is a combination of not proper technique or uncleanliness but I won't risk this again.

If I could give a rating below zero, I would. Sunny did my nails. The next day the acrylic gel began peeling. When I went back in to get my nails fixed the next day, she actually told me it was my fault. She kept on saying that it was my fault. When I told her I didn't do anything out of the ordinary, she actually told me that I was not telling the truth.

I should have known by the emptiness of such a large place, along with all the awful reviews, that it was not a good idea. She fixed my nails for free, but two days later, they began peeling again.

I will NEVER, EVER go there again; Sunny was very rude and unprofessional. When she was almost finished, she all of a sudden began to become nice Sunny, telling me to come back in 3 weeks, have a good day, etc.

UPDATE***

I went back two days later, because yes, it was happening again. Sunny wanted to charge me the full price to fix her mistake. I went to someone named Grace, and she did a beautiful job!!! As much as I love the job that Grace did, I do not want to give anyone like Sunny any more of my money.

Oh Yes is a nail salon with customer service that will surpass your expectations! Ive had 2 appointments thus far and both experiences have been stellar. Sunny does an amazing job. She is professional, personable and meticulous! I went in for my 1st appointment with my nails looking like I dug my way there and emerged looking like a lady!!!  I have another appointment today and can't wait!
